Story
Meet Happy! If you’re looking for a best friend who lives up to her name, look no further than Happy! This handsome, scruffy, 3 year old girl has a heart as big as her smile and is always ready to brighten your day. Happy is a friendly, affectionate, 58 pound Schnoodle who loves being around people and soaking up attention. Whether she’s joining you for a walk, exploring the outdoors, or simply leaning in for pets, Happy is happiest when she’s with her favorite humans. Her goofy grin and wagging tail make it impossible not to fall in love. This lovable girl has a playful spirit but also enjoys relaxing by your side after a day of fun. With her charming scruffy looks and sweet personality, Happy turns heads everywhere she goes….and did we mention she’s HAPPY!Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog.We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org)Thanks so much.

Story
Ralphy is a sweet and spunky Schnoodle terrier mix (that’s our best guess!) who’s about 1–2 years old and weighs around 20 lbs. This adorable boy has plenty of pep in his step and a happy-go-lucky personality that’s sure to make you smile. Ralphy loves to play with other dogs and would enjoy a canine buddy who can match his playful energy. He’s also good with cats—as long as they don’t dash away, because then he thinks it’s playtime! Ralphy is doing great with his housebreaking when kept on a schedule and is very smart and eager to please, responding well to gentle correction. He walks nicely on leash and has that fun, puppy-like enthusiasm for life. Ralphy would thrive in a home with kids over 15 or an adult-only household, where he can get the attention and structure he loves. Ralphy does have mild stranger danger—he tends to bond closely with women and can be a little wary of unfamiliar men at first, sometimes barking until he feels comfortable. With a little patience and reassurance, he quickly learns that new friends are safe and kind. When left alone, Ralphy is quiet and content, but he’d be happiest with a fenced-in yard where he can run, explore, and get his zoomies out. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate companion who’s full of love and personality, Ralphy might just be your perfect match! ❤️

Story
**WE DO NOT KNOW HER EXACT BREED MIXES** Meet Gilly! 💕🐾 Gilly arrived with us at about 4 years old and 35 lbs, and this girl has been working HARD this summer on her Fit Fall Journey. She’s ready to trade a few extra pounds for more zoomies, more adventures, and hopefully no more weight management food. But jokes aside, Gilly does have some medical concerns that her future family will need to be prepared for. She is currently undergoing diagnostics for some health issues, including the possibility of pulmonary hypertension, and she may need medication long-term or even for life. We’re still learning more about what’s going on, and we’ll be happy to discuss her medical needs in detail with approved applicants. Now for the really important stuff: Gilly LOVES other dogs! She enjoys having canine friends and is always ready to play, romp, and make new buddies. Gilly is looking for a loving forever home with a family who understands that sometimes the best adventures come with a few extra vet appointments along the way. She may need some ongoing medical care, and may need medication long term so she is looking for a family that will love her through all of it. 🥰 If you think Gilly could be your girl, please complete our online adoption application. We’d love to tell you more about this sweet, slightly squishy, totally lovable girl and discuss her medical needs with you. Gilly is ready for her next chapter and she’s hoping it involves a forever family, lots of love and canine friends. Apply at realdogrescue.org/adopt
