Story
Meet Sandor 🐺 Gentle soul. Playful spirit. A heart ready to belong. ✨ Sandor is a sweet, sensitive boy who’s navigating some big life changes with quiet bravery. Found as a stray and later reclaimed but not kept, he’s still settling in—but even through the uncertainty, his loving nature shines through. 🌱 He can be shy and a little nervous at first, appreciating gentle handling and time to feel safe. Once he’s comfortable, though, Sandor is all heart—affectionate, attentive, and happiest when he’s included. He’s a playful, goofy guy with a free-spirited streak, and nothing makes him light up quite like a game of fetch. 🎾 Sandor has the makings of a wonderful adventure buddy and loyal companion. He’s still working on his leash skills and building confidence, but he’s eager to learn and trying his best every day. With his low-shedding coat, he’ll need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling great. ✂️ Sandor may come across as quiet at first, but give him patience and kindness, and you’ll discover a joyful, devoted friend just waiting for his second chance. 💛 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
hi Babette, this lovely girl is an approx. 4 year old mixed breed. We suspect she is a Bouvier and Poodle mix but your guess is as good as ours. She was abandoned at a police station and brought to the local animal control shelter . She is about 60 lbs. We do not know what her past was but she is thriving now! When she first entered the animal control shelter she was extremely guarded, nervous and fearful. Thankfully, with our volunteers she has done a total 180 and is so much fun! She has been affectionate, silly and friendly, though she can still be nervous sometimes around new people. She can also be pretty stubborn when she refuses to do something (like walk back to the kennel). She is looking for experienced dog home, without young children. Babette has been doing amazing at the rescue - she is often found playing around with our larger dogs. She is also handled without issues by all of our volunteers (male and female). She was briefly adopted but then returned to us. The adopter let us know that she was not doing well with the men in the house and would once again be very guarded around them. She needs an experienced home that will help her through the adjustment period until she is comfortable. She would need to meet any resident dogs but has been playful and friendly in playgroups with dogs of similar size and energy. She will come spayed, vaccinated, 4dx tested and microchipped. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $475. Story
Are you looking for some more love in your life? Look no ‘moe’! Moe is an 8-month-old cockapoo who can’t wait to be your shadow! A silly, affectionate, and playful puppy, he loves playing with his toys, cuddling with his foster mama, and going for walks to sniff around the neighborhood. Moe has been friendly with other dogs he’s met on walks, and enjoys playing with his foster sister. He would thrive as a companion to a young, playful dog, or as a cherished only pup. Because he has done so well with his leash training, he does NOT require a fenced-in backyard. Although initially a bit skittish and unsure, he has made fast progress while in his foster home and his foster mom refers to him as her ‘shadow.’ He is working on his crate training, and will sleep all night quietly in his crate, as long as it is next to his mom’s side of the bed. During the day he is usually quiet in his crate, but will sometimes complain a bit. His adoptive family should be committed to continuing his crate training, or be able to provide him with a puppy-proofed room where he can be left alone. Moe enjoys playing with the children in his foster home, but he has a clear preference for his mom, he is a ‘Velcro’ dog. Any children in the home should be old enough to understand that he can still be a little skittish, and be patient with him as he adjusts in the transition to his adoptive home. He is only 11 pounds, so children will also need to keep his small size in mind when playing. As a young puppy, Moe will need continued training to grow into a confident, obedient adult. He currently knows ‘touch’ and ‘come,’ and is working on ‘sit.’ He is doing very well with his house training, and is kept on a schedule at his foster home, since he does not yet know how to ’ask’ to go out. He is a puppy, and some regression would be expected when he transitions to his forever home. Moe is being fostered in Wyomissing, Pa. Potential adopters will need to be willing to travel to this area for a meet and greet. All residential dogs will also need to come to this meet. Moe is up to date on his vaccines and preventatives and has been microchipped and neutered. If you’re interested in being Moe’s forever family, please apply today @ www.zoeshouserescue.com!
