Story
Hazel is a gorgeous 6-year-old mini Poodle, weighing 22 pounds, with stunning red/mahogany fur that will make heads turn! She was surrendered by a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she was no longer wanted or needed and now she’s ready for her second chance at life. Hazel is adorable, sweet, and gentle, with just a touch of confidence that’s starting to shine through. She’s easy to handle and has done wonderfully with our volunteers. With a little patience and a lot of love, Hazel will blossom into the loyal companion she was always meant to be. A calm, caring home, and maybe even a friendly dog to help her feel secure, would be perfect for this lovely girl. Ready to give Hazel the forever home she deserves? Apply today and make her part of your family! She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive the dental as the vet deems necessary. She would need to meet any resident dogs. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $500. Story
Meet Sheila! Sheila is a 5-year-old, 17-pound Poodle who has finally gotten her chance at a better life. She was surrendered from a puppy mill when she was no longer wanted, and now she’s ready to discover what love and comfort truly mean. Sheila is a good girl who allows all handling, but it’s no surprise that she’s shy and scared with very little confidence after her past. Beneath that timid exterior is a gentle soul who just needs time, patience, and kindness to blossom. She’s looking for a loving, patient home, and would do best with another social dog to help her learn the ropes and build confidence. With the right family, Sheila will transform from a quiet observer into a cherished companion. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems necessary. If you have room in your heart for a sweet girl who deserves a second chance, apply today at www.phoenixanimalrescue.com and help Sheila start her new chapter. Her adoption fee is $500. Story
hi Babette, this lovely girl is an approx. 4 year old mixed breed. We suspect she is a Bouvier and Poodle mix but your guess is as good as ours. She was abandoned at a police station and brought to the local animal control shelter . She is about 60 lbs. We do not know what her past was but she is thriving now! When she first entered the animal control shelter she was extremely guarded, nervous and fearful. Thankfully, with our volunteers she has done a total 180 and is so much fun! She has been affectionate, silly and friendly, though she can still be nervous sometimes around new people. She can also be pretty stubborn when she refuses to do something (like walk back to the kennel). She is looking for experienced dog home, without young children. Babette has been doing amazing at the rescue - she is often found playing around with our larger dogs. She is also handled without issues by all of our volunteers (male and female). She was briefly adopted but then returned to us. The adopter let us know that she was not doing well with the men in the house and would once again be very guarded around them. She needs an experienced home that will help her through the adjustment period until she is comfortable. She would need to meet any resident dogs but has been playful and friendly in playgroups with dogs of similar size and energy. She will come spayed, vaccinated, 4dx tested and microchipped. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $475. Story
Our winter litter of Miniature Poodle, Irish Setter, and Bernese Mountain Dog puppies is growing quickly and finally ready to find their forever homes ❄️🐾. These little ones came to us young, and while we provide care, safety, and love, we want to be honest that their new families will be responsible for the majority of their training and socialization. As a shelter, we don’t have the time or resources to begin puppy training, so they will need families ready to put in that early work ❤️. *These puppies will most likely grow to be around 60 pounds* These puppies are still very much babies — they’re learning the basics of the world simply by being handled, fed, and cared for here, but structured socialization will be up to their adopters. Once home, they’ll need calm, positive exposure to new people, friendly vaccinated dogs, different environments, car rides, sounds, and experiences 🌱✨. This early window of socialization is incredibly important, and steady, gentle introductions will help them grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs. Adopters should be prepared for a true puppy-training experience 🚧🐶. You’ll need to take them out frequently — after naps, meals, playtime, and first thing in the morning — and expect accidents as they learn. Consistency, supervision, and patience will be key. These puppies are a clean slate and will follow the routine you set once they’re home 🏡💛. As for general training, they have not received any behavioral or obedience work here. Adopters should be ready to teach name recognition, crate training, basic manners, leash skills, and the foundations of positive reinforcement training ⭐. Short, upbeat sessions and plenty of praise will help them learn, but they’ll need time, structure, and commitment from their new families. This adorable litter may be cute as can be, but like all puppies, they require a lot of hands-on time, consistency, and daily training from the people who welcome them home. If you’re ready for the joys (and challenges!) of raising a puppy, these little ones will be ready to start their new chapter this January ❤️🐾. 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
Looking to rehome a 4 year old schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle mix). He’s UTD on vaccines and has been neutered. He is a sweet boy who has both a playful and snuggly. He weighs approximately 15-19lbs. He absolutely loves people and will follow you around. He originally was found wandering the streets of Philly. He has been in doggy daycare previously and did well. He gets along fine with our dogs (except for one, which is why we are rehoming). He is crate trained, potty trained, and has formal dog training. He comes with a crate, food, toys, water/food bowl, food and a bunch of other items. He would be best in a home where he can be the dominant dog. Another doodle mix with a submissive temperament would work best.

These pups are in Reading, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Meet this sweet little gentleman! Hunter is a 7-year-old male Miniature Poodle weighs just 8 pounds and is a quiet, gentle soul who is slowly coming out of his shell. He can be shy at first, but with patience and kindness, his loving personality truly shines. He will need a home that understands that confidence takes time and is willing to let him blossom at his own pace. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He enjoys going for walks and loves car rides, making him a wonderful little companion for everyday outings. He is doing well with potty training, though he will still need guidance and consistency—some regression is normal when settling into a new home. Due to dental disease, all of his teeth have been removed, so he will require soft food and soft treats for the rest of his life. This doesn’t slow him down one bit—he’s still a happy, affectionate cuddle bug who loves being close to his humans. He would do just fine as the only dog in the home; another dog is not required. His ideal family will offer a calm environment, continued patience, and lots of gentle affection. In return, he will reward you with quiet companionship, sweet cuddles, and unconditional love.
