Story
Gertrude is a very timid but gentle soul. She was trapped in order to be rescued and heavily matted when we got her. She does not trust people yet, but will sleep in bed with me and the other dogs and sometimes in the mornings she will lick my face but she avoids human tough still. She has not tried to bite or nip but she will take time to learn to trust. For this reason she needs a very quiet home with no kids who could accidentally let her out. If she were to escape there would likely be no catching her. She weighs about 9-10 lbs and is about 2 years old. Gertrude is spayed, upt on shots, and microchipped. She is heartworm positive but has been given meds and Proheart 12. She needs to be retested in 6 mos (June) and if she is positive we will pay for another Proheart injection. Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Meet Ms. Maisel 🌸 Ms. Maisel is a 10-year-old female poodle weighing about 12 lbs, and she’s a gentle soul who was pulled from a shelter just in the nick of time. Now she’s looking for a calm, understanding home where she can finally feel safe and respected. Ms. Maisel is vision-impaired, so she does best in a quiet, predictable environment. She prefers her own space and would be happiest either as an only dog or with calm, respectful dogs who won’t trample or harass her. Busy, high-energy households aren’t her style—she truly enjoys peace and independence. She is not potty trained and will need a consistent schedule, supervision, and patience from her new family. With routine and attentive care, she can do well, but she’ll need someone committed to helping her succeed. Ms. Maisel isn’t demanding—she just wants a soft place to land, gentle care, and a home that understands her needs. If you have a quiet home and a kind heart, Ms. Maisel may be the perfect little companion for you. 💕 Adoption fee is: $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Story
Meet Averie Cielo 🐾 Averie Cielo is a beautiful 3-year-old black Poodle, weighing 29 lbs, with a bright spirit and a resilient heart. She was found horribly matted in a park—likely dumped—but despite her rough start, Averie has remained a happy, loving girl who’s ready to turn the page and begin a new chapter. Once she was freed from the mats, her sweet personality truly shined. Averie is friendly, upbeat, and eager to enjoy all the good things life has to offer: walks, affection, and being part of a family again. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you just how forgiving and joyful dogs can be. Because of her energy and enthusiasm, Averie would do best in an adult-only home or with older children who are steady on their feet and less likely to be accidentally knocked over during her happy moments. Averie Cielo is now looking for a forever home where she’ll be loved, cared for, and never left behind again. She’s ready to give endless loyalty, cuddles, and happiness to the lucky family who chooses her. 🖤 Adoption fee is: $450 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Meet Nutmeg Nox 🤍🐾 Nutmeg Nox is a charming white and grey Poodle mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest disposition. At 6 years old and 10 pounds, he’s a petite boy who is learning that love can be soft, warm, and full of kindness. When you first meet Nutmeg Nox, he can be a little shy, taking his time to feel comfortable in new situations. But once he warms up, he truly shines—becoming affectionate, loving, and incredibly kind. Give him a little patience, and he’ll reward you with endless tail wags and a heart full of devotion. Nutmeg Nox absolutely loves to cuddle when he feels safe, and once he’s settled in, you’ll find his tail wagging happily all day long. He’s looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to build confidence and enjoy the simple joys of being someone’s cherished companion. Nutmeg does better in general with women and would love someone who is home often. He can go up and down stairs. He gets in his crate at night to sleep. He can sit for a treat. He can't have toilet paper or paper towel tubes because he will eat them. He will also try to eat socks so please keep all that up so you don't end up with an impaction needing surgery. He likes to chew, almost like a puppy so chew bones would be required like Bully sticks or HImalyan salt chews. He is a cuddle bug with his foster. If you’re searching for a gentle, loyal cuddle buddy with a big heart, Nutmeg Nox is ready to meet you 💕🐶 Adoption Fee is : $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Meet Madam Mim 💛🐾 Introducing Madam Mim, a delicate little soul with a heart ready to heal. This beautiful poodle–Maltese mix weighs just 10 pounds and is about 6 years old. She has stunning curly brown fur that shimmers with golden highlights when the sunlight touches her — truly a little gem waiting to shine again. Madam Mim’s story is one of quiet courage. She was found wandering as a stray, frightened and unsure of the world around her. After fending for herself, it’s no surprise that she’s still terrified of new people, sounds, and surroundings. Right now, she’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for — one gentle moment at a time. She will not be a good fit for children. She acts ferocious but it's mostly an act. She can be handled by our groomer. She lets her foster pet her on her conditions. She is only available to a qualified home who knows she never be a loving lap dog. Although she’s shy, Madam Mim has shown that she has a gentle, trusting spirit buried beneath her fear. — she just needs patience and understanding to come out of her shell. Every small sign of progress, from a curious sniff to a wag of her tail, is a glimpse of the loving companion she’s hoping to become. She does have some sight issues causing her to be mostly blind. Maybe just close proximity of sight only. This may be contributing to her needing extra time to get settled in. Madam Mim needs a quiet, loving home — someone who can move at her pace, give her space when she needs it, and celebrate each small victory as she learns to trust again. With time, kindness, and a lot of love, this shy little girl will blossom into the loyal, affectionate dog she was always meant to be. Madam mim is heartworm positive. She has been treated with doxycycline and proheart 12. She needs another hw test in May. If she is positive Camo will pay for another Proheart 12. If you have a gentle heart and the patience to help a scared dog feel safe, Madam Mim will reward you with the most beautiful gift of all — her trust. She’s waiting for someone special to show her that people can be kind, hands can be soft, and home can finally be a place where she belongs. 💕 Adoption fee is: waived to the right home. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable.
