Story
Maggie is a sweet, affectionate girl who truly shines when she’s surrounded by love and attention. She’s a big fan of snuggles and forms strong bonds with her people. When she wants a little extra affection, she’ll gently (and sometimes a bit insistently!) place her paw on you—but she’s responsive and polite, and a simple “down” lets her know when it’s time to give space. This smart cookie knows several commands, including sit, down, paw, go, and “load up.” Maggie walks well on leash, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys spending time with her people. Maggie was adopted from ECHS in 2025 and was recently surrendered back to us due to separation anxiety. She would do best in a home that can provide consistency, reassurance, and plenty of companionship. She is housebroken, crate trained, and well-mannered overall. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids, but Maggie prefers a calmer home where her boundaries are respected. A home with older, respectful children or teens would be an ideal fit for her. Maggie is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, vaccinated for DHPP and Bordetella, and is on heartworm prevention. Her adopter will need to update her rabies vaccine. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who adores cuddles and already knows her manners, Maggie may be the perfect match for your family.
