They really did!BUT...Tuesday, the bathmat. Thursday, the hallway. Saturday morning, Timmy found a puddle soaking his briefcase and stood there a long moment, not moving, before he called for Jessi. She came and looked and didn't say anything either. They got the paper towels and the spray and worked in silence, and when it was done Timmy sat back on his heels and Doug came over all cute and happy and put his chin on Timmy's knee and looked up at him.Timmy put his hand on the dog's head and have him a sweet scruffy pet."I know," he said. "I know."Jessi was still on the floor, her back against the cabinet. She was looking at the ceiling so she wouldn't cry, which she knew was stupid, which made it worse.They were at their wits end!!!
