Sweet Eileen is a 10 month old Scottish terrier who is a mix of curiosity, playfulness and shyness. Eileen is interested in playing with people and dogs. Where she won't hesitate to chase a ball with another dog, Eileen takes time to warm up to people especially men. However, she is food motivated so with time and training, Eileen comes out of her shell for playtime and gentle pets. Eileen's ideal home would definitely include another dog to help her feel secure and part of a pack. Older, dog savvy kids would be better and a family that is willing to take time to draw her out of her shell and use her love for food to help firm up her potty training and leash skills. Meet Tadhg (pronounced Tige. Think tiger without the R)! This gentle, loving boy found himself in need of a soft place to land when his beloved owner's health declined. Tadhg arrived quietly, unsure of where he belonged, but within moments, we knew: he belongs here, and he belongs to love. Once he realized he was safe, his personality blossomed to reveal an incredibly sweet and very playful little man, Tadhg is kind to everyone he encounters ~ dogs big and small, cats, kids, you name it. He loves snuggling with his person, going for walks and exploring (he'd love a fenced-in yard), napping in warm beds, and playing with toys. His favorite games are tug-of-war and chasing fuzzy balls. He's so dedicated to playing that he even sleeps with his toys, just in case. Tadhg is a total lovebug and wants to be near his people as much as possible. He's a complete gentleman and ideal companion: housetrained, leash-trained, great in the car, and content to stay home alone as long as he has a soft bed and warm blankets. He sees and hears well, can do stairs like a pro, and would thrive in an apartment or a house. He's pretty much happy doing anything as long as he's doing it with you! Tadhg is great with other dogs and would love it if his forever home had a canine companion for him to pal around with. He's looking to join a family that loves to snuggle, will take him on lots of walks and fun adventures, and can provide him with structure and routine. Tadhg has so much love and light to give, and he deserves the same in return. We can't wait to see who's lucky enough to call him theirs! Tadhg is approximately 12 years old and 10 lbs.
