Story
Local adoption only!  Adoption donation $500 to cover medical expenses. Finley is 5 years old and ready for his new home.  His past life had issues with other dogs being aggressive towards him.  As such, he can be a bit standoffish.  But that doesn't stop him from wanting love, attention and belly rubs!  Finley is allergic to chicken, which causes skin inflammation..  Even small amounts of chicken fat that are present in some dog treats, chewable medications or even pill pockets can be a trigger.  We have resolved these issues by feeding a high-quality beef or salmon diet and we use Grain Free Peanut Butter treats. All dogs adopted by Scottie Kingdom Rescue, Inc. have had a full medical exam by one of our licensed Veterinarians, which includes testing (and treatment, if necessary) for Heartworm disease, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis, all necessary vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, dental cleaning as necessary, microchipping, registration of the microchip, and any other medical needs each particular dog may need. Copies of all available medical records are transferred to you when the adoption is finalized. We prefer to adopt to families with past Scottie, Westie, Terrier experience, but realize this isn’t always possible.   We do NOT ship our pets. If you have that special place in your heart, and in your home, for a Scottie (or any of our other available rescue dogs), please visit us in Dallas for an in person meet & greet session with our available dogs.   If you have existing dogs, they should travel to Dallas with you, so we can be assured that they will be compatible with the new addition to your family. Please contact us at Rescue@scottiekingdom.com   to receive an Adoption Application or for more information on our Adoption process.  Also, please take the time to visit our website www.scottiekingdom.com for additional information. We sometimes receive several applications on the same dog. Our goal is to place the dog in the best home possible, based on his/her needs, personality and past history. Please note:  Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis.  Submitting an application does not guarantee the adoption of any dog.   We are looking for the best available home for each of our rescue dogs. Thank you for your understanding, and for considering adoption! We are not supported by your tax dollars or public grants, rather, we rely on donations to help us continue our rescue work for animals that are in need. Donations may be made via PayPal to email address: Donate@scottiekingdom.com or via USPS, to PO Box 551265 ~ Dallas, TX   75355 February 8, 2025, 2:44 pm

Story
Medical costs to date: $1,139.40 Winston needs your help.  Please consider donating to his care via PayPal using email address: Donate@scottiekingdom.com. Winston came to us as an owner surrender, after a family member became allergic to dog dander.  As such, Winston was faced with the reality of living outside 24/7, which ended up causing him to acquire heartworms due to not receiving proper prevention medications.  We are in the process of beginning Winston's expensive heartworm treatment that can last several months, entailing several vet visits and injections, as well as oral medications.  He will not be available for adoption until he has completed heartworm treatment in 3-4 months.  Winston is 3-1/2 yo and has separation anxiety, which we are working with him to resolve.  Winston is not available for out-of-area adoption. Story
Local adoption only!  Adoption donation $650.00 to cover medical expenses. This handsome boy is Cailean, who is approximately 3 years of age and is looking for a new home.  He is a very active Scottie boy due to his age.  We are wanting to find him a home in the DFW area that has experience with the breed.  Cailean is a larger Scott that is quite strong and muscular.  He could knock over a small child or cause issues with seniors.  He is decidedly an Alpha dog which needs to be taken into consideration if you have other Scotties.  He loves playing fetch in the yard, but it's a game to get the toy back from him! Cailean requires a high-quality diet to help prevent skin issues. Story
Ollie is a 4 year old Scottish Terrier mix, 40 pounds, healthy, and up to date on all shots. He’s a smart and affectionate dog that loves to go for walks, play fetch, and curl up close to his family. He gets along well with our other 2 dogs. He’s a great dog, but does not have the temperament to handle multiple toddlers in a household. He is fine with older children that are better about maintaining boundaries and gentle handling. We’ve tried a number of approaches that have not worked, and we don’t think being sequestered off by himself in a different room is much of a life. Our strong preference is to find him a great home directly.

Story
Meet Smokey &#194&#150 Small Pup, Big Personality! Smokey is a 3-year-old male Schnoodle weighing in at under 15 pounds who is ready to find a loving forever home. This sweet boy was sadly found abandoned at a fire station in Dallas. When no owners came forward to claim him, he was surrendered to the shelter in hopes of getting a second chance with a family who will cherish him. Smokey is both vocal and affectionate, happily letting you know when he's excited or ready for attention. He has a sweet, friendly nature and enjoys being around people, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving little shadow to share life with. He can be quite the ball of energy and would benefit from a person or family that can keep up with his activity needs. Smokey's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccine, basic boosters to date and is heartworm negative. An approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling meet and greets and for adoption. If you're ready to give Smokey the safe, loving home he deserves, please submit an application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Smokey is ready to trade his rough start for a lifetime of love &#194&#151 maybe with you.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
