Scottish Fold kittens & cats in Davis, California

A Scottish Fold breeder is closing her cattery and Purebreds Plus has taken in a group of these Folds. Cookie is the first of them to get posted. He's a wonderful example of this much loved breed. Of course he has very folded ears, which are always prized, but he also has the very sweet, affectionate nature that Scottish Folds are known for. His head looks like a round ball, "like an owl ", with especially large, round eyes.. They call this type of eyes "headlight eyes" for obvious reasons. Cookie is a young, playful boy who came to us already neutered. He seems to like everything: He loves attention. He loves food. And he especially loves feet, human feet. (Yes he has a foot fetish.) He'll wind around your feet and rub on them with unselfconscious enthusiasm. He' is such a fun kitty. This nice breeder allowed her kitties to run loose in her house so they are very well socialized. They are also all comfortable w the company of other cats. Their breeder fed them a healthy mostly raw food diet, which we have changed into a slightly sautéed chicken and turkey diet -with some kibble. At about 8 pounds Cookie has no problem with his appetite.. Cookie would be happy to be an only cat if his family were around a lot of the time. He would be fine with children over 3 feet high. I don't know how he is with the dogs, but I expect if they were friendly he'd want to play with them. I think he might be happier to go to a home that had another cat or cats in it or to be adopted with another of these wonderful Folds when we get ready for that. What he wants most is to be loved and included in the life of his new family. He's not a crazy play monster and he's also not a sleep on the couch all day Persian. He has a quiet energy, but he really wants to feel a heart connection to his family and to be involved in everything knowing that he's an essential part to his family. It is very common that kitties in homes with lots of cats are a bit needy for attention, It makes sense. I was trying to photograph him and he kept coming to me saying love me love me love me love me. Cookie's smart, playful, healthy, and very easy to care for. There's nothing not to like in this beautiful big hearted boy.He will be so happy in his new wonderful home. Cookie eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. Lolli sees the world from rose-colored glasses. She proves that nothing can stop you if you want to do it and Lolli has got plenty of love and adoring looks to give! Lolli came to us with a congenital deformity in her shoulders which impairs her hind end mobility somewhat but that doesn’t stop her from doing everything her foster mates do, including climbing the tall cat tree and stealing toys if she so desires. Her lack of hind end strength doesn’t stop this girl from living her best life, appreciating every happy life has! This girl is full of personality and very outgoing. You can expect Lolli to be close to you and nuzzle up to you for love and play most of the time! She loves playing with all sorts of toys, sliding into home base, having other kitty friends who are a bit on the softer side of playful and just getting her happy on, and with a face like hers who could resist?! As with most precious things, this gem does require some special care, Lolli, while she can defecate on her own, does best when expressed at least twice daily. While that can be intimidating, it’s much easier than most think. While Scottish fold cats are known for their signature folded ears, they’re actually born with straight ears. The fold begins to develop when the kitten is between 18 and 24 days old, but only if they have the gene that is responsible for the fold. Lolli does not have the folder ear gene. Lolli is an adorable, happy, affectionate, sweet, silly girl who will make a purr-fect companion for some lucky family. Lolli is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet food, and eats dry food. She currently lives with her foster family in Sacramento.
