Scottish Fold kittens & cats in Encinitas, California

Maizie will be 12 years old in June 2026 and has lived with us since 2016. She was born on my parents' farm and we decided to adopt her after meeting her there. She is a very sweet and loving cat who has gotten along well with our second cat, who joined us in 2018. We are seeking to rehome Maizie because she has a combination of medical and behavioral issues that we have been unable to solve and think she may thrive in a different environment. We have an almost 4 year old daughter, and when I became pregnant, Maizie started occasionally pooping outside her litter box. This slowly escalated over the years. We have since discovered that she has IBD/small cell lymphoma (both are incurable and treated the same.) Between the medical causes and potential behavior due to our child/early dementia/unknown causes, she continues to poop outside the litter box. We love her and want the best for her. We believe she needs a quiet home with people home much of the time for her to cuddle with.
