Story
*** Edith and Sybil are at our PetSmart Aero adoption center. ***Edith: tan/black/brown tabby w/white, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 3/1/20, #17320Sybil: gray/silver/black tabby w/white, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 3/1/20, #17321*** Bonded Pair ***Cats: prefer to be the only felinesDogs: not recommendedChildren: older kidsThese darling sisters were rescued from the streets of LA in 2022. Being amazing kitties, they were quickly adopted. Unfortunately, this fairytale did not last forever as intended. Due to no fault of their own, their previous guardian could no longer care for them. With heavy hearts, they bid farewell to their old life and turned to The Rescue House to help find them their true forever-and-ever home!Edith and Sybil are like peanut butter and jelly- each unique but perfect together! Sybil adores her tunnels while Edith would much rather lie on her kitty tree. However, what they both want the most is a loving family. These bashful beauties can be quite reserved, especially in new situations. The best way to win them over is to give them room while they adjust. Of course, having tasty snacks and a cozy spot to hide in can surely help! Most importantly, they get their confidence from each other. Over time, they'll welcome you into that special circle of trust. These sweethearts will offer you their affection and will happily accept belly rubs, booty pats, and ear scratches in return!--- Edith is a sensitive soul with a dash of sass! She'll appreciate having nooks and crannies to a retreat to in her new abode. With Sybil around, Edith will find her courage to come out and explore. Highly intelligent, Edith loves to observe and study the world around her. This independent lady prefers to keep her paws under her control and does not like being picked up. Instead, you can rub her tummy or bust out of the feather toy for a fun game. She also adores booty scritches! A bit clumsy, this silly girl sometimes bellyflops off the couch. As for her sassy side, Edith might try to steal your food. You better watch your plate with this "angel" about!--- Sybil is the more outgoing and confident of the pair. Enthusiastic about people, she is easy to pick up and quick to purr. Crowned as "The Best Cuddler," her snuggling skills are sure to impress you! Head butts are her way of saying, "More pets please!" Routine is particularly important to her. Her high-pitched meows are friendly reminders that it is time for dinner or recess. She loves her collection of trinkets which includes feather wands and a couple of dog toys. After an afternoon of frolicking and dashing around the house, she's ready for a snooze party on top of you! ***Edith and Sybil MUST be adopted together. While they get along with other cats, they do not readily include feline friends in their inner circle and would not be a good match for a kitty needing companions. (In addition, kittens are a hard pass for these two.) We think they would prefer a household without canines. Small children would not be a good fit for Sybil as she occasionally nips during play. Be prepared to be swept off your feet by these beautiful darlings! Won't you invite Edith and Sybil to join your family?

Story
I adopted Misha from Escondido - San Diego Humane Society around October 2023. According to her chart at the Shelter, she was brought in with her litter of kittens by a good Samaritan. She got spayed at the shelter before I adopted her. She’s the sweetest and the most affectionate cat I’ve known. She loves to sleep with me at night and loves getting pets. I also occasionally let her outside with supervision and she returns back no problem. She prefers to be inside rather than outside, seems like she’s scared of being outside for too long. The reason for rehoming her is that Misha is not a big fan of my male grey cat at home since he has a lot of energy and always wants to play with her. She prefers not to be bothered by him and prefers her space. She would do better in a home where she’s the only cat or in a home where there’s cats that are like-minded and prefer their own spaces. If you’re looking for a chill, sweet, and affectionate cat, Misha would be a great match for you !

Story
Violet is a very sweet and pretty girl.  She can start out shy but warms right up and loves her pets.  She is playful and curious.  Violet grooms and snuggles with the other cats so we think she would love a companion.  Violet has a stiff gait and moves oddly and carries her tail up over her back but has been checked by a veterinarian and it appears that this is just her unique way and does not affect her health.  Email jmclaug@me.com for more infoApril 26, 2024, 1:47 pm

Story
Randy is very handsome and a sweet guy.  He talks a lot and has a lot to say!  His mom broke her hip and went to a nursing home.  He and his two sisters lived in the house alone for three years waiting for her.  She was unable to come home so he went to rescue so he could find a new forever family.  Randy is a gentle boy who loves petting.  He is gentle with his sisters and the other cats too but would probably do fine in a new quiet home without them.  He would probably love another senior to dote on. Randy gets a shot of steroids daily to help with his appetite.  He is very good for the shot and it's very simple to do. Randy is a super awesome guy and a favorite in his foster home.  To meet him email jmclaug@me.comApril 26, 2024, 1:47 pm

Story
Turkish Van mix Spayed Female 1 year 9 pounds Looking to rehome my beautiful sweet female cat. She’s around 1 year old, social and very playful. Spayed, chipped, and extremely healthy with a soft, silky coat–records at All Pets Animal Hospital in Encinitas. I have had her for 6 months and have not been able to integrate her with my older resident cat. She is well behaved—uses her litterbox and doesn’t scratch the furniture. Hoping to find a safe, loving and welcoming home for her. If you are interested in adopting Jasmine, please contact Jean @ jeankeyes@cox.net *PLEASE NOTE: This animal is listed as a courtesy for another organization or private party. Story
*** Katy is in a foster home ***White w/black patches Turkish Van mix, long hair, spayed female, born approx. 10/1/22, #18044Cats: likes--feline friends suggested!Dogs: unknownChildren: adults onlyAlong with the rest of her litter, Katy was rescued from the streets as a young kitten. The family made their way to The Rescue House, and after a little TLC in foster care, they began to flourish. With all of her siblings adopted, the time now has come for Katy to find her forever home too! On most days, you can find Katy embracing the true San Diego spirit by soaking up the sun in her favorite spot by the window. Naptime is a must for this fluffy beauty, especially after an afternoon of games and frolicking with her foster friends. Katy loves mealtimes and is vocal about making sure you know when it is time to eat! Katy's other favorite pastimes playing with interactive toys. While she likes to wrestle, cuddle, and frolic with kitten friends, she also is able to be independent and self-entertain. Adopting Katy isn't just for anyone. She is going to need a very special person who understands that she is exceptionally timid and reserved. Katy likes to explore gingerly at her pace and retreat back to her safe space (under a bed) when she feels overwhelmed or afraid. If you pick her up, her whole body tightens; however, she slowly will become less tense as you pet her. When in an environment where she is comfortable, like atop a cat tree, she will accept your caress and purr away in delight! Katy is soft and has wonderfully luxurious fur like a bunny rabbit, so petting her is a treat for you both! Katy is sociable with other cats and makes feline friends easily. She hasn't met dogs or young children yet, so we aren't sure of her feelings about them. Given that she is bashful, we believe a tranquil, quiet adult-only home would suit her best. Girls just want to have fun, and this gal is simply looking for the right place to host her parties-she loves a good romp with a wand toy! Do you have room in your heart and home for Katy?
