Story
We adopted Merlin in 2022 as a kitten. He has always been skittish and extremely slow to warm up to people. We have an older cat that Merlin tries to interact with, but the other cat does not like Merlin at all. Merlin has never warmed up to us, and recently we got a puppy which just adds to his stress. We also have two small kids that Merlin does not like at all. With the puppy in the house, Merlin never comes out from behind our tv unless it’s nighttime and the dog is in the bedroom. He needs a patient, experienced adopter that he can form a bond with - preferably a dog/child-free home. We want the best for him and hope to find him a loving home.

Story
Bailey would do well with a responsible owner looking for a working cat for their property. While not social with people, Bailey would thrive with consistent care—safe shelter from summer heat and cold winter nights, along with fresh water and dry food provided daily. He’s an independent cat who simply needs a reliable place to call home while helping keep the property pest-free.🐾 Ready to Adopt a working cat? Tip 1: It is important that she/he is going to need time to acclimate to their new environment – better to place in a confined space with food, water and litter box for about a week or two before releasing into a barn-like open space area. TIP 2: Please make sure your home or lease allows pets and that you and others are prepared to welcome a new cat. TIP 3: For any pet, have the essentials ready: food and water, cat food, litter and a litter box (when needed), space for cozy, warm bedding, carrier and a designated veterinarian for ongoing care and/or vaccinations - for working cat, safe shelter from summer heat and cold winter nights, along with fresh water and dry food provided daily.

Story
Espresso isn’t people-friendly, but she would thrive as a working barn cat where she can count on safe shelter from heat and cold, along with regular food and water. She enjoys spending time with another independent, not-so-social cat, Knight-Rider, and the two often relax together in a windowsill (pictured). The two would make a great bonded pair for a responsible owner looking for hardworking, outdoor-savvy cats who prefer to keep their distance but still appreciate a consistent, caring environment.🐾 Ready to Adopt a working cat?
