Meet Sparrow — From Shy Beginnings to a Happy-Go-Lucky BoySparrow is a completely new cat compared to the frightened kitten who first came to us. He and his “Bird” litter were born to an unsocialized stray mama. Some of the kittens survived, some didn’t, none of them were in great health when they arrived. We worked long and hard—first to get Sparrow strong and healthy, and then to help him learn that people can be gentle and kind.In the beginning, Sparrow spent most of his time tucked in the back of his kennel, avoiding human touch. He had needed so much medication as a young kitten that he came to associate people with unpleasant experiences. But once he was healthy and fully vetted, everything changed. We let him out of his kennel to interact with other cats and volunteers, and Sparrow began to discover that life could be fun.Today, Sparrow is a happy-go-lucky fellow. He’s still not wild about being held, so we wouldn’t call him a cuddler just yet—but he does love being petted. He enjoys playing, running, exploring, and interacting with other cats. Brothers, Shadow and Midnight were found together as kittens by my mother. She passed away a year and a half ago and my son and I have been caring for them since. Due to some changes in living situations, we need to find them a good, loving home. I'm unable to care for them in my home due to my current fur babies and my son has recently moved to a new apartment and they will not allow his 2 cats plus an extra 2. We don't want to rush in finding them a new home but we do need to rehome them as soon as possible. My mom had them since they were kittens and they are really good boys. I prefer to keep them together, so I'm trying to list them as a pair. It's been really hard to make this decision because we love our fur babies and it's just hard having to let them go. They're around 4-5 years old, so they are still young, energetic and playful but not wild. They are house / litterbox trained and eat wet and dry food and like treats. Serious inquiries only, please!
