Story
Olivia is a sweet, shy girl, looking for a calm home to call her own. Her previous owners were well-meaning, but overwhelmed by big life circumstances. She has blossomed in her foster home - learning to trust people, and enjoying affection. Though she has adapted to life with feline and canine foster siblings, she would also do well as an only child. This precious girl will reward your patience with the most adorable tiny meows and head butts, her way of saying "Thank you for believing in me!" Olivia is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is felv/fiv negative. She is available in North Alabama only.

Story
Mila’s love languages are play and food. Bring out a wand toy with a fuzzy worm or rabbit fur mouse, and she’ll amaze you with her speed, agility, and impressive hunting skills. She plays with her whole heart until she’s happily worn out. When it comes to treats, she’s a big fan of Churu and wet food—and she’s even beginning to learn clicker training, showing just how smart and motivated she is. Mila will need a patient adopter and a calm, quiet, adult only home where she can feel safe. She currently is becoming more open to pets and lap time. She requests pets in the morning and has lots to say. She has even choosen laptime on occasion. This has been accomplished with positive reinforcement using play and treats. We believe Mila will continue making progress in her socialization—but it will be at her pace. She’ll need someone who understands that trust takes time and can’t be rushed. Mila has the sweetest little face—complete with adorable folded ears and striking golden-yellow eyes. Her coat is just as special, shifting between deep brown and black depending on the light, with a beautiful smoky undercoat. She’s truly one of a kind, from her bowed front legs to her uniquely twisted back leg—all adding to her undeniable charm and character. Mila’s orthopedic condition is currently stable. She previously had a sore on her back leg, which has healed beautifully. Because of the unique structure of her front legs, and the fact at one point in time she had a sore on her back leg, there is a possibility she may require orthopedic care in the future, though it’s not a current concern. Mila has so much to offer the right home. She’s full of personality, playful energy, and quiet potential. With time, patience, and understanding, Mila will truly shine. Scottish Folds have a genetic mutation which causes their ears to be folded. This same mutation can also lead to joint and cartilage problems later in life. For that reason, we recommend a joint supplement for any Scottish Fold to delay further issues down the road. Given her breed and current deformities, Mila may need pain management earlier in life than the average cat.

Story
Monty is a playful and fun boy! He has SFOCD (Scottish Fold Osteochondrodysplasia) The gene that causes Scottish Fold’s to have folded ears can also cause joint and cartilage issues. He was born with uniquely shaped feet and tail, but it hasn’t dampened his joy one bit. He plays hard, explores boldly, and lives just as fully as any other cat. His quirks are simply part of his charm! Monty is getting a solensia injection once per month to manage the pain this condition can cause. He will need this repeated in a vet office once a month likely for the rest of his life. The cost is roughly $70-$100 per month and ensures comfort for him. He would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or even a respectful dog buddy. Older children who understand gentle handling would make great companions for him, too. Monty is ready to share in the joy of his own family.
