Story
Meet the Purranos! Big Tony, Paulie “Walnuts”, AJ & Meadow – they are the Purranos (named after that famous family)! Members of the (hopefully) last Black Momma Gang of Layfette Ct., these little 3.5 month old tabbies are ready to “break” into your heart! They are little purring machines, once you get them going, and their fur is that oh-so-kitten soft! They LOVE to play and get really into it, growling and tugging away on their “catch”. Big Tony is the leader and always the first to jump in your lap. Paulie will look at you with bedroom eyes, just waiting for his favorite spot in your lap to be free. AJ winds gently around your legs and sweetly works his way into your lap (and he looks like a tiny bobcat too!). Meadow, the only girl, is full of sass and spunk, and walks on her tippy toes with back arched for pets. Their story is one that is all too familiar – mom is a neighborhood kitty who has been having litter after litter, avoiding capture for years. But, this is going to be her last one! Tony and Paulie were the first to be trapped and the most curious about people. Next came Meadow who was happy to be reunited with her brothers but sad because little AJ stayed on the lam for almost 2 weeks on his own! We were so worried about him! And elated when he finally went into the trap! They are all a little shy with new people at first but quickly warm up once they get to know you! And will warm up even quicker with some Churu and a wand toy! Interested in giving one (or two) of these cuties a home? Email adoptions@savedbyzade.com today!

Story
Whisbrook is a sensitive soul with excellent manners, a soft heart, and a bladder that enjoys unnecessary drama. He’s super sweet, loves pets, and is happy to soak up affection on his own terms — but picking him up is a hard no. Whisbrook is also very clear about his housing preferences: he would like to be an only pet. Big cats, small cats, boy cats, girl cats, dogs — all are deeply suspicious and best admired from a great distance. A quiet, low-key home is very much his speed. Whisbrook was found outside alone, but everything about him suggests he was once an indoor cat who lost the memo about how doors work. He thrives indoors and would do best staying there permanently. He does have a mild bladder issue (possible feline idiopathic cystitis), which means he needs to stay on prescription Hill’s c/d Stress food and keep life calm and predictable. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who wants to be your one and only — and promises loyalty in exchange for peace, pets, and the right kibble — Whisbrook is your guy.

Story
Calliope is a stunning 8-month-old male long-haired kitty with a beautiful Van pattern. He has faced many challenges in his young life, including witnessing a tragic event among his siblings resulting in his being trapped almost two months later than some of them and in a new location. After being spotted with another group of kittens, likely his nieces and nephews, Calliope stayed fearful while they quickly socialized and found loving homes. He was so terrified, his foster mom contemplated returning him to his original home to be with his mother, but, instead decided to give him the time he needed to adjust and thrive. As the other kittens were adopted, Calliope grew lonely and slowly started to see humans in a more positive light. At first, he would hiss when his foster mom entered the room, but with patience, playtime, and tasty treats, he began to warm up. Due to his fearful nature, we suspect Calliope has experienced or witnessed abuse from humans in his short life. He requires a patient and quiet home, free from loud noises and young children. Calliope adores his cat tree, loves watching the world from the window, and enjoys the company of other cats once he gets to know them. His fluffy coat is incredibly soft, and he has a charming checkerboard pattern on his head, a floofy black tail, and a striking black spot on his side. Are you the kind-hearted person ready to give Calliope the loving, patient home he deserves? If so, please reach out to us at adoptions@savedbyzade.com!
