You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Oliver is a very sweet kitty, that is about 3 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. He was taken in during the cold winter, when he was trapped in a porch he came into to for feeding. Originally vetted as a TNR cat, those plans changed when he tested positive for FIV and showed signs he might have the potential to become friendly! Oliver was very patient over the winter and he slowly grew to trust and crave attention, petting, and interaction. He initially lived in an X-large crate to help him decompress. A fter he made progress in the crate, he was moved to a private cat room in his foster home with a full door length cat gate. Oliver can hear the sounds of the household and his caretaker enters the room several times a day for feeding, petting, attention, and playing! Oliver would thrive if he could have free roam of an entire house - he only can't where he is, because of a resident dog who does NOT like cats. Oliver is FIV positive so it will be important that his next home is either as an only cat, or with another FIV positive companion. We are looking for a foster home and/or an adoptive home. He has not lived with other cats, but my thrive with another cat with proper and patient introductions. Oliver doesn't act afraid of dogs at the gate, he actuallly seems rather interested in them! He would do best with someone that has worked with cats before who have come from living outside, as he still needs to make more progress. F or instance - he hasn't really been picked him much, except for one time when he was sleepy, lap time and picking up still needs some work. Oliver will endlessly rub on your legs, seek to be pet, wants to be near you, and then will chill in a cat bed or other area, content with your presence near him.
