Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall…practically everyone knows that rhyme from childhood, but according to historians, Humpty Dumpty was not an egg. There is some dispute about the meaning of the rhyme. Some believe it refers to King Richard’s fall from power in 1485. Others believe it refers to a cannon that fell from the wall of a church. “All the king’s horses and all the king’s men…” But I am none of those. I am a gorgeous medium-haired male cat, one of six who came from a home with 21 cats. A woman rescued us and cared for us in her basement until she could find homes and rescue groups for all of us. I am a very vocal, social guy who seeks attention from people. I LOVE wand toys and catnip toys. Belly rubs! Yes, please! I enjoy being brushed, which is important to prevent mats. I am always near another cat and would do best in a home with at least one other cat, perhaps with someone I already know from my previous home. I was around dogs, both large and small. Like some of the others, I am very food oriented. I was fed Special Kitty, Purina Cat Chow, wet food, and squeeze treats. Nothin’ says lovin’ like…a warm, furry kitty named Biscuit! I’m a medium-haired older kitten who was found on a property in Mantorville in early January. Brr. I wasn’t warm then! I was glad to get indoors, spending about a month in a foster home. Now I am at the shelter, which is quite a change for me. I prefer quiet places away from the hustle and bustle. I like the lower level or cubby hole of a tower. I am cautious about new people, but if I am approached slowly, I enjoy having company. I love being petted and talked to.
