Story
?? Meet Milo: A Story of Second Chances and Hard-Won Trust ??Some love stories begin with love at first sight.Milo’s? His reminds us that the best things in life are worth waiting for. This handsome 1-year-old boy came to us as an owner surrender after his senior owner faced health challenges and could no longer provide the care he deserved. We were told Milo was “shy” with new people… but shy turned out to be an understatement. For 16 days, Milo was all bark and no bite—literally. He pinned his ears back, grumbled through every interaction, and made it very clear he wanted nothing to do with us. Even while eating his favorite treats, he’d complain the entire time. Most cats win us over in minutes.Milo? He made us earn it.But our staff saw something special beneath all that bluster. They knew a sweet soul was hiding under those defensive grumbles—just waiting for the right moment to emerge. So one dedicated employee kept showing up day after day, armed with lickable treats and unwavering patience. And then, on Day 16… everything changed. When she opened his cage for their usual routine, Milo didn’t grumble. He didn’t pin his ears back.Instead, he greeted her with open paws, deep purrs, and climbed straight into her lap. After more than two weeks of walls, he finally let someone in.It was the breakthrough we’d been hoping for—proof that beneath the fear was a cat capable of profound love and trust. Now Milo is ready for a forever home… and he needs someone extraordinary.?? What We Know About MiloLived with his previous owner for 1 yearGot along well with another cat in the homeExperienced as an indoor/outdoor catLitter box trainedDid well around children?? What Milo NeedsSomeone who understands that trust isn’t given—it’s earned.Someone who won’t judge him by the grumpy cat they meet on Day One, but by the loyal, loving companion he’ll become once he knows he’s safe.Someone patient enough to let him set the pace—and persistent enough to keep showing up with treats and kindness. If you feel a connection with Milo, we ask just one thing: keep an open mind.Don’t focus on how he acts during your first interaction. Focus on how he’ll love you after he learns to trust.Because if his transformation from terrified to affectionate has taught us anything, it’s this:Milo has so much love to give. He just needs someone willing to wait for it.His adoption fee is only $

Story
Available now!   Date of birth: 7/18/25   "The Boys" had a sad start to life. Mom gave birth to 9, but Mom and 3 babies didn't make it. We took in Billy, Frenchie, and Hughie and the bottle feeding began! The Boys were always happy, healthy, hungry and active. They were eager to move to wet food, to eat, but also to cover themselves in it! They are brave, fun, and they love the hoomans! Billy is incredibly sweet and loves to cuddle and climb up on shoulders.   If this kitty has not yet been spayed or neutered they may still go home if the approved adopter agrees to sign a legal contract certifying that they will take Kitty to the spay/neuter appointment.   Our standard adoption fees are $99 for adult cats and $150 for kittens. Kitty's adoption fee covers spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age-appropriate distemper vaccines, FeLV/FIV combo test, flea treatment, microchip & registration, and dewormer.   We believe that kitties need a feline friend! For their health and happiness, we highly recommend that kitties be adopted in pairs. If you adopt more than one kitty, you will receive a discount of $25 per kitty. Previous adopters will receive a $25 discount on their new kitty.   If this will be your first kitty, we suggest that you check out this site for a lot of important information: Cat Adoption Checklist. People think cats are easy pets, but they are very unique and there is a lot to learn. There is a lot of information online, and you are always welcome to ask us our advice.   You'll want to make sure you have all the basic supplies before you bring a baby home: nutrious food, bowls (not plastic), litter, litter pan, litter scoop, toys, scratchers & cat trees, nail clippers and a cat carrier.   ##2506093##
