Story
Meet sweet Calypso. I took Calypso in under the premise she would be going to a forever home. I am unsure of her vaccination status but know she is not fixed. Calypso is great with kids and such a sweet, loving little furball. Having multiple kids in the mix and a traveling lifestyle, we are just unable to give her what she needs to thrive. She loves snuggles, play time and chittering at every bird she sees through the window. She’s litter box trained and has no special diet. She would do best in a home with other cats only or older children, as she is quite curious when it comes to small babies, needing to be in their bassinet or crib and will go to any lengths necessary. She will also do best in a home she has free rein. There is no re-homing fee as we truly want her to find her forever home as soon as possible.

Story
Meet: Uncle Jim Biscuit; a roughly 2 year old domestic medium-haired cat that would thrive with an experienced cat owner in a hybrid indoor/outdoor environment. He found his way to us late October 2025 and over the following weeks got a full tune up- vet exam with Leukemia/FIV testing (negative/negative) and core vaccinations, fecal sample, de-wormed, flea & tick removal, neutered, and chipped. A regular diet has allowed him to gain 2-3 lbs since transitioning indoor. Uncle Jim is EXTREMELY affectionate. He loves snuggling up with you and will cuddle for hours! Move cautiously and he will also allow you to pick him up. He loves to play and always has an appetite for treats. He will sing to you as you prepare his dinner. He is not the best climber/jumper - much more of a “ground cat” versus “tree cat”. Quite clunky. But so cute. We’ve had zero issues with him scratching our furniture. PLEASE NOTE: While he’s adjusted to our first cat very well and plays often with him, we believe uncle Jim may thrive more in a single cat home. Being an outdoor cat for however long he was, he has a strong habit of marking. This improved immensely when he was neutered but unfortunately he is still marking around our home. While it’s significantly reduced over time and the spots are small, despite our best efforts it is not something we have been successful at correcting and feel he’s missing his outside world. We also have not been successful at trimming his nails. He’s gotten better at letting us manipulate his paws but it’s a very long, slow road ahead. The vet noted he had a slight heart murmur and rated it a “2/6”. ***UNCLE JIM BISCUIT IS WITH HIS FINDERS IN WILLOWICK,OHIO. His potential adopters will be screened by someone from the rescue, after the approval process you will be put in touch with his finders to schedule a meet and greet in order to adopt. While this is a courtesy posting for the finders, any adopter will always be able to reach back out to the finders or rescue member they speak with for any help- including the return of Uncle Jim Biscuit (if unfortunately necessary). His adoption fee is $75. LINK TO ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/242326102430137

Story
Meet George – The Boy Who Survived the Cold We are back at The Kitty Trail in Piqua, doing what we can for the cats left behind… the ones sleeping with one eye open, never knowing who will pass by with kindness — or cruelty. George was one of them. Abandoned in the dead of winter. No winter coat. No survival instincts. No understanding of why he was suddenly alone on a bike trail instead of inside a home. When we found him, his eyes were frozen shut. He couldn’t see. He was suffering. And yet… he didn’t run. He didn’t fight. He simply let himself be picked up, as if he knew this was his chance. As we gently warmed him, we saw the hair around his eyes had peeled away from his desperate attempts to see through the ice. That’s how long he had been struggling out there. And then — warmth. A soft place. A loving hand. George is amazingly sweet. The kind of sweet that makes your chest ache a little. He just wants to be back inside a home. To belong to someone. To exhale. When George first arrived, he was understandably scared of other cats. After everything he endured outside, he was on constant alert — just trying to survive. But now that he’s settled into a foster home and feels safe again, we’ve seen a different side of him emerge. With time and patience, George has been doing wonderfully around the other cats in his foster home. What he truly needs now is a family of his own — a warm bed, gentle hands, and the security of knowing he will never be abandoned again. George needs you. And we promise — the moment he looks at you with those once-frozen eyes, you’ll realize you needed him too. 🐾
