Story
Is he a man, or is he a muppet? He's a Muppety man! Oscar the Grouch wasn't found living in the trash, but we did discover him abandoned inside of a box by our clinic backdoor, so it's not far off. After a quick exam we found he was already neutered, but not microchipped, so we weren't able to find a previous owner to try and learn more about him. Oscar is understandably stressed in the shelter, but seems curious and is easily won over with treats and snacks (same buddy, same), so hopefully in a less stressful home environment he will be able to regain some confidence and start showing off his personality. Because of his stress, we are recommending he finds a quiet, adult-only home with an experienced owner (anyone also familar with the typical medical issues for Scottish Folds is definitely a plus, but our staff is happy to talk more about those with anyone willing to learn!) who can give him the time, space, and enrichment to let him be the happiest muppet he can manage to be!
