Story
Godiva Chocolate Fluff is the kind of cat who walks into a room like she already knows she belongs there — because she does. She has this beautiful, quiet confidence about her that makes her so special. She isn’t shy about who she is. She knows she loves affection, she knows she loves people, and she is not afraid to show it. Check her cute self out on her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/HkmJBUOa4cA?si=H2dEg4wpCcVgC7F4 If you sit down, she’s coming over. If your hand is free, she’s gently placing her face into it. If there’s a leg, a chair, a wall, or literally anything nearby — she’s rubbing against it just in case it might lead to more love. She rubs her sweet little face on everything like she’s leaving tiny love notes everywhere she goes. Godiva doesn’t just like affection… she thrives on it. She will confidently approach you, lean her whole body into your hand, and close her eyes in pure happiness while you pet her. And if you stop? She will kindly remind you that you were not finished. She is persistent in the softest, most endearing way. At around a year and a half old, she is the perfect balance of playful and mature. She’s past the wild baby kitten stage but still young, lively, and full of warmth. Her personality is beautifully steady — she’s loving, outgoing, and emotionally open. She bonds easily and deeply, and she truly seems happiest when she’s close to her person. She would do wonderfully in a home where affection is given freely and often. Someone who wants a cat that greets them, rubs against them, follows them around just to be near them, and makes every day feel softer and sweeter. She isn’t distant or reserved — she is all heart. Godiva is confident without being overwhelming. Loving without being demanding. Sweet without even trying. She has that special presence that makes you feel chosen. Whoever adopts her is getting more than a cat. They’re getting a devoted companion who will shower them with daily head bumps, soft rubs, and unconditional love. She loves love. And she is more than ready to give it forever. Adopt her! Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6984f560b1bace1e6a019039 Questions? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.  We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Have you ever looked at someone and thought "I can fix them"? If so, Audrey is the gal for you.  One year old Audrey needs someone patient to show her how to be loved. This impossibly soft, fluffy grey lady wants desperately to be loved, but she is afraid of hands and is still suspicious of people.  Audrey was surrendered as a feral to WHS and when she had surprise kittens she was transferred to AHS to raise her babies and see if she could acclimate to indoor life. All her babies have been adopted out and it's Audrey's turn to find her forever family. Audrey loves attention, on her terms. The best tactic we have found to brush her and sneak in petting with your hand when she's looking away. If you're quick, you can pet her hips and tail while she's looking away, but if she sees your hands you will get a smack! She purrs and flops around on your feet and definitely wants some careful, slow, predictable attention. She's come so far in just a few weeks in her current foster home - with consistent atttention and patience, we're sure that she will learn how to be loved and accept attention. She has already started to accept very limited attention directly from the hand, after only a month in her current foster home.  Audrey loves being brushed and playing with a wand toy. She is a big fan of churu lick treats and catnip. She will run to the door to greet you and is excited whenever her foster mom sits on the floor and picks up a brush. She will purr and present herself for brushing for as long as you're willing to sit there.  Audrey's ideal home is a quiet household of patient, cat-savvy adults. Another friendly, but chill cat would likely go over well as she has seemed very interested in other cats in her foster home (though she hasn't yet been introduced - that's a them problem, not a her problem though). Older teens would be okay, but Audrey is too unpredictable for young children. It is unknown how she will do with dogs; we suspect a dog-free home would be best for her.  If you have patience to give and room for a "project" kitty in your live, consider giving Audrey a chance.  All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Young cats have an adoption fee of $175. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.  ##2723617##
