Monty is a playful and fun boy! He has SFOCD (Scottish Fold Osteochondrodysplasia) The gene that causes Scottish Fold’s to have folded ears can also cause joint and cartilage issues. He was born with uniquely shaped feet and tail, but it hasn’t dampened his joy one bit. He plays hard, explores boldly, and lives just as fully as any other cat. His quirks are simply part of his charm! Monty is getting a solensia injection once per month to manage the pain this condition can cause. He will need this repeated in a vet office once a month likely for the rest of his life. The cost is roughly $70-$100 per month and ensures comfort for him. He would thrive in a home with another friendly cat or even a respectful dog buddy. Older children who understand gentle handling would make great companions for him, too. Monty is ready to share in the joy of his own family.

Foldy is a scottish fold who traveled all the way from Kuwait for the good life. She is shockingly soft and will happily allow you to indulge in petting her. She also doesn’t mind daily brushing which can keep her shedding at bay. Foldy is curious and independent. She’s good with other cats, but would be just a content being the only cat in a home. Due to her breed, her little nose was so squished that she had trouble breathing and had loud breath sounds. Thanks to our amazing veterinarians, Foldy was able to get surgery to widen her nares and improve her breathing (now silently)! Common to Scottish Folds, Foldy is showing early signs of Osteochondrodysplasia (SFOCD). The abnormality that causes their ears to be folded also leads to cartilage issues throughout the body. For Foldy this can be seen in her short tail that has little to no flexibility and her thicker feet. Because of this, she will need a daily joint supplement. A popular one comes in a powder form that can be sprinkled on her wet food. She will also likely need Solensia injections monthly at a vet office which costs around $70-100.

She came to us from a criminal neglect and hoarding case in Juneau County involving over 500 animals—an incredibly overwhelming environment that no kitten should ever experience. Because of her past, Solene is understandably shy and cautious at first. However, with time to decompress in foster care, she has begun to open up and learn that people can be gentle, patient, and safe. Each day brings small but meaningful steps forward as her confidence slowly grows. Solene would love to be adopted with her sister, Ziva, who provides comfort and familiarity, but she could also do well on her own in a home that already has another friendly cat. Having a feline companion helps her feel more secure and encourages her continued progress. Solene is a sensitive, sweet soul who will thrive in a calm, loving home willing to let her set the pace.
