I've been told I have a pretty impressive squishy face, and honestly, I work very hard to maintain it.I'm the kind of dog who wakes up every day convinced that life is the greatest adventure ever. Walk? Amazing. Playtime? Even better. Hanging out with my people? Absolutely my favorite thing in the world. I love attention, I love having fun, and I'm pretty sure making people smile is one of my special talents.I'm looking for an active family that can keep up with my happy, adventurous spirit. Whether we're going for a walk, exploring somewhere new, or just hanging out together, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. I've also been friendly with other dogs and would be happy to meet any potential doggie siblings.If you're searching for a lovable, squishy-faced sidekick who's equal parts adventure buddy, comedian, and cuddle enthusiast, I think we should meet. Fair warning though: once I decide you're my person, I'll probably want to follow you everywhere. Consider yourself officially loved.Shelter Notes: Cane is a friendly, active, and affectionate dog who enjoys walks, attention, and spending time with his people. He is available for adoption or foster and would be happy to meet any potential canine companions. Cane is also eligible for the Pets for Patriots program for qualifying veterans. I'm Marmoset, a striking 1-year-old Shar Pei and Shepherd mix with a gorgeous grey coat and a solid 36-pound frame! 🐕 I'm already neutered and ready to become part of your family right away. At just a year old, I've got plenty of energy and personality to bring to your home. Come meet me and discover what makes this handsome boy so special — I'm waiting for you! ✨ Come meet me at High Country Humane, located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11 am–5 pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam. Please bring a leash and collar with you or plan to purchase them here. We can’t wait to help you meet your new furry friend!

My name is Onyx, and I am a 1 1/2 -year-old bull terrier and labrador mix. I am a playful girl, smart, curious, a bit shy but always ready to make human friends and eager to be cared for and loved. I enjoy walks, play time, getting out of the kennel, kibble treats and naps. I am a good pooch, and an active person would be my ideal human. I enjoy calm moments as much as I enjoy playtime.I have become attached to many volunteers at the shelter, and I am responding to ‘sit’ commands and to my name most of the time when I am called. I enjoy making human friends and like structure and consistency. I really enjoy sitting close to my person for body rubs and attention. At the shelter I feel loved, safe and form close bonds with my humans. One day when I know I am safe with you, and realize that yours is my forever home, I know that something magical will happen between us. I was adopted but it turns out I wasn’t a good fit with the folks. I am feeling scared after returning to the shelter as the noise makes me uneasy. I would thrive as the only dog in a loving home. I would do best in a calm home as I am a cautious girl looking for patient humans that I can fall in love with. There are so many things that we could do together to fill our days!I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.Are you able and ready to provide me with fetch time as I enjoy stuffies and spiky balls? Since I am still a puppy, training is something I look forward to and need.
