Teeny came to the shelter as a stray on 3/25/25 and has been waiting far too long for her chance at a home. In playgroup, she tends to keep to herself, offering polite greetings, playing a bit, and showing some mild assertiveness, but overall she is a low-key, calm girl. Volunteers describe her as easy in and out of the kennel, non-reactive to other dogs, and very affectionate once she’s comfortable—she loves sitting close on the bench and soaking up attention. On a recent Snout & About outing to Baseline Trailhead, Teeny did well encountering unfamiliar adults, dogs, and children, enjoyed a Pup Cup at Starbucks, and showed nice leash manners with only mild pulling when curious. She is very treat motivated (especially for Milk-Bones!) and knows how to sit for rewards. Teeny can be a bit unsure in certain situations, such as sudden movements or unfamiliar approaches, but once given time and reassurance she seeks affection and relaxes. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Teeny has the potential to be a wonderful, loving companion who is ready to finally leave the shelter behind.

Simba loves car rides, leisurely walks, and snuggling up close (he’s fully convinced he’s a lap dog). He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, takes treats gently, and walks beautifully on leash. Calm, low-key, and friendly with kids and new people, Simba has even handled busy public events with horses, music, and crowds like a pro.Simba gets along well with other dogs and made friends quickly in foster, though he can be a bit enthusiastic around food—easily managed with structure and separate feeding. He settles in the crate once comfortable and would do best in a cat-free home with no small critters. 🐾😊Muffins is looking for a Foster to Adopt home😊🐾 😊 We brought this sweetheart into the rescue last Wednesday, and she was supposed to be in a Foster to Adopt home, but they gave up on her in less than 72 hours. This sweet girl has been through so much and it just keeps coming. She was found abandoned in a home with no food or water and feces everywhere. She then spent 7 months in the shelter waiting for the judge to release her for cruelty (Please see video in the comments. ) Now She’s heartworm positive and will need to go through heartworm injections and she has a large growth that needs to be removed from her back. She is just the sweetest girl, who just wants a person of her own!! She is so attached to me after just a couple of days, but I would love for her to settle in where she will remain. Fostering is Free! We pay for food, crate, meds and vet care. You open up your heart and home. Then if you decide to adopt you get a discounted adoption fee. Muffins is a 4 1/2 year old Bulldog/ Shar Pei and weighs 68 lbs. She is overweight and is on a low-fat diet. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is potty trained and crate trained, but doesn’t need to be crated. She is small and large dog friendly and cat friendly. She wants to follow her person everywhere as to not lose them!! There must be someone out there that is looking for a special Dog to rescue!! You won’t find a sweeter girl!! Let’s show her that all people aren’t like her original owners and she so deserves a Happily Ever After!! Oaklie came to us with no hair and horrible skin infections. All the infections have been cleared up, he is allergic to many foods and must remain on a special diet. He is very sweet and loves to rub all over his human. Some of his hair has grown back and we hope that more will continue to grow in the future. He has fairly high energy and a rough play style with other dogs.

Hunk is a good boy.  We got a call about him running the street and being saved by good Samaritans. They couldn't hold him because they were leaving town.  We didn't want to see him left on the street after the storm so we picked him up.  He is a BIG sweetheart. We don't know much about him but we do know that he needs a family because no one ever claimed him. We named him Hunk because... well..  he is so handsome!! UPDATE:  Scrappy LOVES other dogs and cats.  He is shy of people at first, someone must not have been very nice to him.  He loves to run in the yard.  He will need a fenced in yard.  Scrappy Doo is amazing once he is settled in.  He would require a few play dates to get used to his new surroundings.  We are hoping to find a local adopter so we can schedule playdates with Srappy Doo and make a smooth transition into his new home. A scared wild puppy was the first image we saw of Scrappy Do. We included that photo in his listing, it should be the last picture. He was so defeated. He had been captured by a property owner after his parents had attacked a goat on the farm. Our friends at animal control responded to the goat attack... they saw the parent dogs running away but the property owner had caught Scrappy! He was so upset and dispondent. Our friends at the shelter called us when he came in because they knew our fosters have that special touch!  Foster mom Barbara has been working her magic and he is doing GREAT now! He has a foster sister, Pebbles, who is quite the doggie ambassador. He is learning how to be a puppy and is loving his new life! He is not a very big boy, and is just so stunningly beautiful! He is not YET fixed but will be as soon as he is old enough!  Scrappy is up to date on all shots and is neutered. Scrappy is such a sweet gentle boy.  He is looking for his special someone.  His foster sister Pebbles has been adopted.  He loves other dogs and cats.  He is unsure about people at first.  He just needs that special someone who will understand that while his life did not start out the best they will make sure the rest of his life is filled with love.  He is crate trained.  We actually keep the door to his crate open as he feels secure in there.  He also loves toys and will collect all th toys he finds and take them to his crate.  That is his man cave.   ##1366278##
