Story
Miso came from a sketchy person. She unfortunately flinches here and there from it. Miso is very playful, loves to cuddle, go for walks, and get under the covers with you. She's about 5-6 years old, and up to date on all her shots. I plan to get her fixed prior to a new owner taking her. Misos reason for rehoming is due to resource guarding her food dish, and toys with our other dog. She will bite our other dog and draw blood if he gets too close when she has these items. We keep her separated from him when eating/ having her toys, but unfortunately we are expecting a baby. With the baby, I cannot prevent baby toys from being dropped or the baby from accidently feeding the dogs. If the baby does any of those, it could cause a dog fight. If my baby were going to be older about 4-5 years old, I would keep her. Miso is fine with other dogs, and strangers on walks. She though does not do well with very playful/ high energy dogs. I always keep her leashed for this reason.

Story
Hiya! My name is Lily, I am a sassy little girl, but a quick and eager learner! My mom adopted me from a local animal shelter back in April in hopes I would make my big sister (6 year old pit-lab mix) more active and young again. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem I am the biggest fan of my big sister. My mom placed me in training for my reactiveness which was going sooooo good. I am what you call a fast learner. However, mom and I were playing fetch in the back yard and I got hurt. My left hind leg is injured but doing better with rest and monitored activity. We have been to the vet A LOT within the past 2 months for my leg. My mom still has to keep me and my big sister completely separated in the house and monitor my activity, but I just want to play...all the time. Mom thinks I would be best suited for someone who has a more consistent work schedule, no existing animals in the house and more active for when my leg heals. I am 8-ish months old and weigh 35 lbs, I am spayed and vaxxed.

Story
Meet Ringo! This sweet senior is looking for a nice place to retire. He has spent the majority of his life with one owner and was sadly left to spend his golden years in a shelter. We are hoping he won't be here long, though! He is perfectly well mannered, great on a leash, and potty trained. He deserves a nice cozy home to lounge. Will you give that to him?

Story
I rescued Milie when she was 6 weeks old and she is about 6 now. She has always been great around dogs, cats and kids. I am currently in a position where I am needing to find her a new home. She has dry skin if she is not on a salmon dog food. She is kennel trained. Once in a blue moon she can have an accident, but if she is on a good schedule Millie is a great dog.

Story
She is pure bred just don't have paperwork. She is a very friendly dog we got her in Easter of 2020. She loves to play fetch ,very housebroken ,crate trained she has chronic ear infections and we have been fighting them and managing them but it's not helping her and we dont have the funds to do a surgery to remove her ear canal from what the vet said to get her ears all better or even money for an allergy test being on a fixed income. We are looking for somebody who has time for her who would love her like we do it would be able to pay for all of her medical expenses she is a very very very well behaved dog she does know how to sit. She does love kids she also likes to drive in the vehicle looking for a really good home for her.

Story
Hi there, I'm Lancelot! I'm just a puppy but I'm full of energy. I love to play and explore new places. I'm pretty brave, nothing really scares me! I'm also quite independent, but don't worry, I still love cuddles. I'm a friendly guy, I get along with everyone - people, other pets, you name it! I’m doing well on all the puppy basics: potty training, leash training, and basic commands. I'm always curious, always ready for the next adventure. Adopting me means endless fun, boundless love, and a loyal companion. So, are you ready for a life filled with joy and excitement? To meet me, fill out an application at waalrescue.org/adopt.
