Story
Gemma has one of those faces that will always look like a puppy, and a small stature as well. Gemma is just hitting 1 year of age and was born into rescue, sad that she still doesn't have her forever home. Gemma is a 40 lb. shy girl and takes a bit to warm up to new people and things, she has only known US. She loves to play with other dogs and having one in her new home would help show her the ropes. Gemma has a cute personality and an awesome deep bark to ward off any prowlers. She loves her crate, walks on a leash, knows sit and loves to explore on her walks. Gemma is as sweet as they come.

Story
Hudson is in a foster home searching for his forever family! If you are interested in meeting him, copy, paste, and complete the link below. This will be sent to the foster family for follow-up: https://greenvillefosterteam.tiny.us/meetyourmatch . You can also call or text the Lifesaving Team at 864-467-3985. Hudson is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves attention more than anything else—pets and cuddles are truly his favorite things. He enjoys exploring the yard, relaxing around the house, and settling in for snuggle time. He does bark a bit when first left alone but then relaxes, and he’s been trustworthy loose in the home. Hudson is still learning the basics, including housetraining and leash skills, but he’s a calm, sweet companion who’s eager to bond with his people. He hasn’t met kids yet, but based on his gentle nature, he may do well. —Best suited for: Most home types; families looking for a calm, affectionate companion —Training: Partially housetrained; still learning leash skills —Alone time: Barks when left but settles; loose in the home —Leash manners: Still learning; does not walk well on leash yet —Energy level: Medium — enjoys some activity but settles easily —Personality: Affectionate, chill, gentle, quiet —Favorite activities: Cuddling, exploring the yard, getting attention —Fun facts: Prefers affection more than toys or treats; nervous in the car at first but settles; noted as an escape artist, so secure spaces are important Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, and spay/neuter.

Story
To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org
