They are soooo good and have not made any accidents! These handsome boys arrived as owner surrenders several months ago and despite repeated efforts to match them up with their new family, still we have not yet found them. We totally believe in this loving, happy and slightly goofy pair so we`re glad you are tuned in to learn more about them now!! Perhaps you can help!! We have had The Italians off site doing a variety of activities in the community. Most recently, we had them on Fox Carolina news at our annual fundraising event Wags and Whiskers. They snuggled right up to Kendra Kent, host of 4 Legged Friends, as she shared them with her audience once again hoping to get them home. Despite all the action/activity in front of the club house (location of event), still they were fantastic- Vinny was climbing in Kendra`s lap while Antonio got comfy and was rolling around on his back. Prior to this outing, we had them at a fundraiser on the Clemson campus- Puppy Yoga- where their job was to walk rows of students in a yoga class with the goal of enhancing their experience and helping them relax. They were huge hits! A week prior, they were boating on Lake Keowee. Superb in the car ride to the lake, while a little hesitant on the boat initially, still they beautifully got into the groove of things. We learned that they were not interested in swimming but were OK in treating the lake like their private, super large water bowl! One of their first outings was to a local park where they beautifully explored around with their Clemson student chauffeurs. Of note, we have had them on 2 TV news sets (in addition to the TV time at the fundraiser), one in Greenville SC- a one hour drive from the shelter and one at a local park 30 min aw

Meet Casper Casper is a handsome boy. He was surrendered when his foster parents could no longer keep him. He is a great young pup. Casper is about 1 – 1.5 years old. Our vet thinks he is a Basset/Shar Pei mix. He is a low-rider kind of dog with a beautiful cream-colored coat and gorgeous blue eyes. He weighs between 40 and 45 lbs. Casper LOVES being with people. He doesn’t like being by himself. He gives doggie kisses, happy tail wags and will crawl into your lap if he has a chance. He loves other dogs too. Every day he greets his doggie neighbors when he has yard time. He can get spooked easily though and will need a containment fenced yard to keep him safe. He’d do well with another dog in the home to play with and keep him company. Casper walks easily on a leash and is a good leash walker. If he gets spooked though, he tries to bolt and could be a flight risk. Nothing that two hands, a sturdy harness and/or a fenced yard can’t cure though. Casper does not like cats and should be in a home with no cats. Casper is a sweet, friendly, affectionate, smart, curious, and happy boy. He is also housetrained – bonus! He has impeccable manners. This boy is a doll. We’ve fallen in love with his easy-going and loving ways. We love seeing him interact with other dogs. He seems so happy and carefree when he’s running around saying hi. Casper would like to be your couch snuggle buddy and ride along dog if given the chance. This boy has it all. If you are looking for a great medium sized pup to welcome to your heart and home, Casper may be the one. Meet Davis Can you say sweet? Can you say incredibly sweet…possibly the sweetest? We can…about Davis! We rescued Davis from a high kill shelter so he could make someone’s or a family’s life rich and full of love. Davis has been nothing short of amazing since arriving. I don’t think we’re exaggerating. Some dogs just possess the sweet gene and Davis, despite all he’s been through, has it. Davis is about 2.5 years old. He weighs 51 lbs. He looks like a Boxer/Shar Pei mix (lots of cute wrinkles!), but small in size. He has a beautiful coat, warm brown eyes that beseech you, and an earnestness to do good that will melt your heart. He LOVES people and dogs, but no cats for Davis. Davis loves attention. He loves being loved on and in return he gives doggie kisses. Davis walks easily on a leash. He is a happy companion in strolling and sniffing. He loves to take it all in. Davis travels well. He has good, happy energy, but has a calm and snuggly side. He settles quickly. A fenced yard will be important for Davis so he can run and play safely. Davis is well-adjusted and is ready to embrace a family who will love and protect him. He will make for a wonderful companion given his easy-going ways and his sweet and friendly disposition.
