Story
Meet Scrappy Doodle! The Gentleman, Security Guard, and Defender of Constitutional Rights! Introducing Scrappy, a 2½-year-old Bone Mouth Shar Pei who may be a little short on wrinkles, but certainly isn’t short on personality, manners, street smarts or opinions! Scrappy spent most of his life living on the streets, so this boy knows a thing or two about navigating the world. He’s street-smart, observant and always keeping an eye on what’s happening around him. Basically, he’s got more life experience than most of us and probably a few stories he’s not ready to share. What he lacks in wrinkles, he more than makes up for in impeccable manners. This boy is an absolute gentleman! He’s well-trained, knows how to sit and even knows how to help you up from a low seat if you need a little assistance. Forget a personal trainer. Scrappy is more like a furry mobility assistant with a built-in security detail. Speaking of security, Scrappy takes his job as household security guard VERY seriously. He likes to keep an eye on things, supervise the neighborhood and make sure everyone is following proper procedures. He’s also a toy enthusiast and absolutely adores kids. If there’s a little human around who needs a best friend, Scrappy is ready to clock in. Now, we do need to address one small issue: CRATES. Scrappy is NOT a fan of being crated. In fact, he firmly believes crates are unconstitutional and that being placed in one is a direct violation of his civil liberties. He would like to speak to management, his attorney and possibly the Supreme Court. Underneath that watchful security-guard exterior is a caring, affectionate and incredibly smart boy who wants nothing more than to be part of a family. After spending so much of his life surviving on the streets, Scrappy is ready for the good life: a loving home, toys, kids to adore and a comfy spot where he can supervise everyone without having to punch a time clock. If you’re looking for a handsome gentleman who will protect your home, entertain your kids, help you out of your chair and occasionally file a formal complaint about his living arrangements, Scrappy Doodle is your guy! He’s not just looking for a home. He’s looking for his forever family, where he can finally retire his street-survival skills, trade in his security badge for a life of luxury and become someone’s very spoiled boy. Scrappy Doodle for President. His platform? More toys, fewer crates and equal rights for all dogs. Scrappy is fostering in the greater Dallas, Texas area November 3, 2026, 12:47 pm
