Story
Meet Cherry, a lovable 5-year-old who is living proof that second chances are worth it! Once on the shelter`s kill list due to her emaciated condition and lack of space, Cherry has made a stunning recovery and is now a healthy 70-pound bundle of joy. Despite her size, she’s still a big puppy at heart, full of energy and affection.Cherry does great with other dogs, especially when introduced slowly, and she’s a fantastic companion who will always keep you smiling. While she’s a friendly and loving dog, she does have a strong instinct to chase smaller animals, so a cat-free home is a must.Cherry is housebroken, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, making her ready to move into her forever home.If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and devoted companion, Cherry might be the perfect match for you! Let her bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of happiness into your life. Will you be the one to give this amazing girl the loving home she truly deserves?Located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
Meet Tommy! Handsome, happy and FULL of life! Tommy is one of our sweet boys from teh Harris County shelter pull and we instantly fell in love with this classic red/brown, handsome face. he has the kind of personality that lights up a room and keeps you smiling non-stop.  Tommy is an active boy who is always ready for fun. Whether it's long walks, short runs or a game of fetch (one of his FAVORITE things ever), this guy is ready to be your adventure buddy. He's incredibly sweet and eager to connect with his people, he just needs someone willing to help him polish up some basic obedience and continue showing him the good life. We estimate Tommy to be around 3-4 years old, but honestly he could easily be younger with how playful and energetic he is! He's the perfect mix of goofy, loving and athletic. If you've been looking for a fun, active dog to add to your life, Tommy is your perfect match. We would absolutely love to get this handsome boy into a foster home soon! Please consider fostering or adopting Tommy. Visit www.scoutshonor.org to fill out an application today.July 3, 2026, 10:57 pm

Story
We found Rocky through a mutual friend, and he’s been such a wonderful dog. He’s a street rescue, but he’s already vaccinated (including rabies) and in good health. He’s friendly, loving, and truly deserves a stable, caring home.We would absolutely keep him if we could, but due to our busy schedules, we are looking for someone who can adopt him and give him the safe, loving home he deserves. If you or someone you know might be interested, please reach out.Edit: We are moving to a different city and have little over a week to care for him. If someone is interested then we do have his cage, toys, bed and food for free to take with him.

Story
Bear is a 10-month-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing 53 pounds who is full of love, personality, and youthful enthusiasm. This handsome boy is incredibly sweet and friendly, and he gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. Bear has never shown aggression toward people or other animals and truly enjoys being around everyone. He loves making new friends and is happiest when he has company, whether that's his human family or canine companions. As a young Lab mix, Bear has plenty of energy and can be quite rambunctious when he's excited. He loves to run, play, and burn off energy, so his future family should be prepared to provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A home with another playful dog is highly preferred, or a doggy daycare would be an excellent outlet for him to help keep him happy and engaged. Bear is house-trained but he is not yet crate trained. Bear does have one challenge that his future family should be aware of: he has food-related resource guarding, due to living on the streets and going to bed hungry every night. While he is comfortable and relaxed with his trusted caregiver, he can become protective of his food around other dogs, therefore he must be fed separately. This behavior is limited to feeding situations, and he is otherwise a loving, social dog with no history of aggression toward people or animals. As we have seen with all other rescues, as they continue to receive their food on time, their tendency to resource guard their food diminishes and finally disappears. His adopters should be committed to managing feeding time appropriately and continuing positive reinforcement training to help him build confidence and trust. Bear is looking for an active family that understands he's still very much a puppy at heart. With proper exercise, structure, and love, he will reward his family with endless affection, loyalty, and entertainment. If you're searching for a fun, social, affectionate companion who will happily join you on all of life's adventures, Bear may be the perfect match for you. Bear is currently being fostered in Texas but is able to go to anywhere in the States and even in Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully and adequately fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Bear currently weighs about 53 lbs and is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention. To meet this amazing pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Bear's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and a fitting Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Poor TinTin has had a rough start to life. Adopted from our shelter as a young pup, he was returned via animal control when his adopters weren't able to provide proper care for him. This boy just CRAVES love and attention! It's not his fault he's back in the shelter and we're hoping to make his second stay shorter than his first. TinTin is an eager learner who just wants to please. After spending the majority of his days confined in a crate, he would love a yard of his own or an active home where he can join his people in regular walks or jogs down the Seawall.....as long as he can carry his stuffie with him! TinTin is a spirited and energetic boy looking for a family that will help him grow into his best self - and he would love an energetic canine companion to play and roughhouse with! Got a pool? Or a water hose? Even better! TinTin loves to splash around! Come meet this boisterous boy and find your new best friend!
