Unfortunately due to some unexpected personal life events, I am in need of rehoming Chad. He is such a great dog, loves people so much. I adopted him from a local shelter. I believe he might have been abused based on some responses such as at times he will hunch down when I am getting ready to throw his tennis ball. He gets along great with other dogs, but prefers female dogs. We have been working on walking on a leash ( he is just so excited), commands as well as some food aggression but I feel that is related to his past. He is house and crate trained. Health wise, he does have allergies and did test positive on 11/25 for heartworm on snap test but none under the microscope. He is being treated and remains on his monthly preventive. He is a ball of energy, loves to play but also loves just being with you watching TV. I will provide all records, food, meds, toys, crate, sweaters, bandana, and beds. My goal is for him to get a home where he is spoiled, safe and loved

My name is Rudie, and not only am I a strapping pup; I am adaptable and affectionate. My friends tell me that my paws are huge, but don’t worry, I know how to use them gently. My activity level and bark show my puppy personality, but after a burst of playful energy, I love to relax next to my human. You may not be able to tell in my picture, but my forehead wrinkles come from my Shar-Pei side, are soft like silk and will feel nice as I lean into you and give you lots of cuddles. Although I am only around 1 year old, I am learning how to consistently sit and stay. I can walk with a human holding my leash, and I do well with another dog walking with me. I like to protect my human and bark and pull at passersby, but I am beginning to learn to just keep walking when my human asks me to follow. I am good at being in the crate for a while even though I sometimes feel left out of the action and make a little noise to remind you that I am here. I am curious in the kitchen and like to check out what is happening on the counters - I LOVE to eat! I am okay if I am asked to wait behind a gate to keep my paws protected and will excitedly watch from the safety of the other side. My love for eating can’t be tamed even though my tummy sometimes makes me need to go outside during the day, but with the right diet and routine, I feel better. Treats are a favorite, and sometimes I am super excited and just need a reminder to take them gently because I do know how.I have spent most of my life at the Humane Society, but I have had sleepovers with a couple of other families and their fur babies. I adapt quickly to new places, and I get along great with other dogs. I am always up for a tug-of-war or wrestling session, and I listen well when I am told to take the action outdoors. Oh! And I really like to play with kids too- especially with a tug toy and a ball to fetch. I can’t wait to find my forever family to grow up with. So, what do you say?

If you would like more information about MuDeng or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to freddielove5@yahoo.com MuDeng is her nickname because she reminds us of the Thai pygmy hippo. We met her when she was running into traffic at Studewood and 11th while we were walking home after dropping our kids off at school in the morning. She didn’t run away so we took her home. We took her to the vet and learned she had no chip and they estimated she was 4-6 months old. MuDeng gets along really well with our 2 dogs and loves to play and cuddle. She is really sweet, great with kids and other dogs. She loves to play, and she is energetic and smart! She has quickly learned “sit”. She took to the doggy crate we had for our dog without hesitation and sleeps quietly throughout the night (our dog wants it back). We are working on potty training. She is good on the leash and has a very distinct, proud trot. MuDeng doesn’t show any signs of trauma (our other rescues did when we got them.) She is calm and quiet when she is on her own and likes to sit on the sofa (she is not allowed but insists so we are working on that.)
