Please read the following informationDOUGAL is in foster care in West Hartford, Ct.If interested there is an application on our websitehoustonshaggydogrescue.orgDougal is a 68 lb approx 2 yr old Sheepadoodle per his Dna .. he did.test positive for heartrooms and has completed his treatment per the American Heartworm Society Protocols.. we usually find that the dogs test negative in 4 to 6 months..He is just the nicest dog, very easy going , no problems at all, hes very laid back , gets along with all of the other rescues and he is so good his foster forgets he is around . he’s does not like the heat of the day and will hang out inside in the air conditioning.. but in the later part of the day he lives to come outside and play with his buddies and eat his chew treats and chase the squirrels... he seems to be pretty well house and leash trained ,although he does pull on the leash and needs a strong hand .. he does need a fully fenced in and secure yardthere is an application on our websitewww.houstonshaggydogrescue.orgThe adoption fee is $600We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years..All of our dogs are spayed/neutered,microchipped , vaccines including Rabies,Dhpp,Bordatella and Canine Ingluenza and all are on monthly preventatives for Heartworms,Fleas/Ticks and Parasiteswww.houstonshaggydogrescue.org

Story
Lilo was surrendered to rescue when her family deployed overseas. She looked like a beautiful sheepdog but was very matted and had to be shaved. Hopefully her fur will grow back fast. She is such a sweet girl and has done wonderful with kids, cats and other dogs. She is completely vetted and house trained. Lilo is fostered near Knoxville, TN but transport to a location near you is included in the adoption fee. Rescue Riders LLC will provide transport to scheduled pickup locations. Please email for adoption application.

Story
Archer is a sweet boy who loves to be near his people and dog friends. He loves to cuddle and run and wrestle. He enjoys water and walking. He is handsome and clumsy and funny. He is submissive to his owners and loves to play and hang out with our 4 and 5 year old kids. He is about a year and half years old and is neutered, updated vaccinations, and microchipped. We bought him about a year ago. We wish we could keep him but the other dog we have had for years is not happy with him. He can be nervous with strangers and seem aggressive towards them but has never bitten anyone. He has many dog friends although he can sometimes be dominant with them. But more often than not he is very playful and gentle. He responds very well to his collar that beeps/vibrates for correcting unwanted behavior. He is not food aggressive. He weighs about 80 pounds and has a big thick coat when he isn’t groomed.
