Story
Clooney is a 2 year old poodle mix. He is very sweet with humans, but it takes him a little bit to warm up to new people. Clooney loves to play fetch, definitely one of his favorite things ever. He is housebroken and has had no accidents here since being housed without other dogs. Clooney prefers to be the only pet in a home. He has lived with other dogs of all sizes - but it really seems to stress him and make him snappy with other animals. At this point he’s really hoping for a family where he is the spoiled child of the family and doesn’t have to share. Clooney should not live with cats or smaller dogs. He loves to romp, run, and fetch - so a fenced yard is a plus. He is low energy for his age, and needs a family who is committed to getting him groomed every six weeks. Honestly a great boy looking for a special family to call his own.

Story
Are you looking for a big cuddle bug? Look no further than Bear! Bear is a 1.5 year old poodle mix that loves being around his humans. He’s friendly, smart, and eager to please. Due to medical changes in our family, we’re no longer able to give Bear the attention that he deserves. We have a 4 year old German Shepherd that he plays well with, and children that are 5 years old and 6 months old. We also have a cat that he’s not bothered by, but she stays upstairs and he doesn’t like to climb stairs so they don’t interact with each other. He’s still young and if bored will occasionally chew things, but he is crate trained so when we’re at work that is where he is for his safety. He has a bell to hit when he wants to go outside, and he knows basic commands. Though Bear does well with other dogs he definitely prefers human company, so he would thrive best in a family without other dogs or one where he could get lots of attention. A family with someone who WFH could also be great for him.

Story
We adopted Harper from her previous owner when she was 5, and we have had her 7 years. My spouse and I are divorcing and selling the house, and there are difficulties in both our relocation situations and schedules that will not allow Harper to have quality of life or care that she needs. Harper is a senior dog but very fit and active with no physical issues. Behavior that is challenging: counter surfing and getting into things she knows are off limits. She is very sweet and gentle with kids and adults - gets excited around other dogs and seems to be curious about cats (but hasn’t spent much extended time around them). We have never had any incident of biting or aggression towards people. We love this dog but cannot keep her. We hope she will find a new home with someone who can give her the attention we are no longer able to provide.
