Story
Cain is a lovable, energetic 4-year-old that loves to play. He has never met a stranger and is sweet as can be. Cain has never been aggressive and gets among well with other dogs. The reason we are needing to rehome is because we can no longer meet his needs. We have a young baby and he just has too much energy that they cannot coexist together. Cain would do better with children over the age of 5 and a yard to play. He is house and kennel trained. We just want him to go to a good home where he will be loved and showed all the attention he deserves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Jona is an adventurous puppy learning all about the big world. He's warm, scruffy and loves to take up half the couch with his head in your lap so he can get all the head scratches and belly rubs. Jona is a smart and delightful boy. He's kenneled for up to 3 to 4 hours at a time while the human leaves the house for work and errands. Jona whines to go outside to potty and has not had an accident in the house for two weeks! He loves being outside with the human and foster canines. He plays well with all shapes and sizes of canines and knows to respect the   boundaries for the older canines in the foster family . Jona loves car rides, exploring the neighborhood sights and smells on leash walks and does a great job walking next to the human. He is drawn to children and meeting new people. Jona wants to please and is easily redirected to an appropriate toy or activity. He is learning all about the game fetch but prefers to be chased. He knows simple commands like: sit, off, let's walk, stop, leave it, corner, bedtime, and kennel up. Jona is a happy boy and ready to bond with a fun-loving, active and understanding (still has things to learn) family. DNA results on two of his siblings showed the same predominant breeds, Standard Poodle (26.0%), Labrador Retriever (19.8%) and Great Pyrenees (17.5%). Approximate Birthdate:  12/5/2023 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Story
Heidi was rescued from a breeding facility, and came to us weighing in at only 31 pounds! It has been a slow road to recovery for this special girl, as sometimes the scars of abuse are not just physical. She is learning how to "dog" in a skilled behavioral foster home, where she is slowly gaining weight...and confidence!

Story
Chicken will be a very large adult, best guess over 80 pounds full grown. She does have a mixed coat that is high maintenance and prone to matting and shedding. So if a longer "doodle" cut or "non-shedding" is important to you, this is not the dog for you. I encourage you to look at the standard poodles we have for adoption, they are among the lower shedding dogs of all the coated breeds. Beyond her coat Chicken is a wonderful dog who is highly social, loves other dogs, and is extremely active. She has a high exercise requirement, as she is a mix of 2 high-drive working breeds. She is a very smart pup, and is a quick learner, as long as she has had some of her energy drained. Chicken has been spayed, vaccinated, chipped and is ready for a loving home today, her adoption fee is $450 All adult dogs fo on a 2 week trial adoption period to make sure they are a good fit in your home, your adoption fee is fully refundable during that period. We will take all adopted pets back into our program for the life of our pet, with a scheduled appointment. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. You can find our adoption applications here: www.midwestanimalresq.org Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.
