Story
Adoption pending!Podling is an adorable 2-year-old Poodle/Havanese mix who is learning that people can be trusted. This sweet boy was nervous when he first arrived, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, his personality is starting to shine.Podling is still a bit shy, especially around men, but he’s making wonderful progress and is slowly building a bond with his foster dad. Once he feels comfortable, he loves leaning in for ear scratches and booty rubs.He enjoys playing with his foster dog cousin, especially stealing toys and starting a good game of chase around the house. He gets the occasional case of the zoomies, but most of the time he’s perfectly happy just hanging out near his people.Podling is house trained and sleeps well in his crate at night. During the day, his crate is his safe place where he can eat and drink without the other dogs sneaking his snacks. He does prefer company and isn’t a fan of being locked in his crate when left alone, so he’ll need a family willing to continue helping him build confidence and feel secure.Podling is looking for a patient, loving home that understands trust takes time. Watching him discover toys, friendship, and affection has been so rewarding, and his forever family will get to see his sweet, silly personality continue to blossom. Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills. He loves playing with his foster dog cousin, especially stealing toys and chasing them around. Once he feels comfortable, he’ll happily lean in for ear scratches and booty rubs. He sleeps well in his crate but prefers not to be alone for long. Like many little dogs, he’ll let you know when someone is at the door. He’s looking for a patient, loving home that will give him the time he needs to build confidence. Watching him learn to trust is truly rewarding, and he’ll make a loyal companion for the right family. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
