He isa good-natured, well-behaved dog with an excellent disposition, recently completing a12-week training program to reinforce his skills. He is completely potty-trained and isgood with children. Unfortunately, his former owner has recently developed dementiaand can no longer care for him. Nikki has all of his shots and has regularly attended thevet each year. He is looking for a home where he will continue to receive attention, affection, and routine. Adopting an adult dog is a rewarding experience, as they are often calmer and past thechallenging puppy phase. This poodle already has a solid foundation of training andsocialization, making his transition into a new household smooth and stress-free.If you are looking for a gentle, loving, and smart companion to add to your family, pleaseconsider welcoming this deserving poodle into your life.  To apply to be Nikki's forever family and to request an application, please email or text Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or 615-943-7311.  Application approval and an adoption fee are required.  (Nikki is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)February 22, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
&#226&#156&#168Princess Charlie Is looking for her person after being deserted by her owner in the downtown area of Nashville, TN.  She was found scavenging for food in trash cans and luckily a kind rescue hearted woman took her home. &#226&#156&#168 At just 2 years of age and 44 pounds, this beautiful Poodle girl Charlie has already been through so much that she does not deserve. She came to us after the caring individual who found her, tried everything they could to help her get healthy.  Her illness and symptoms were just puzzling and frustrating for a diagnosis.  After thorough testing, we finally uncovered the truth about Princess Charlie.  She has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This means her body can’t properly digest food without daily enzyme supplements. The good news is that it is treatable with a consistent drug being administered.  Dogs with EPI can live happy, full, completely normal lives. The reality, though, is that her medication will be lifelong and averages about $200 per month. We know that someone is out there with the financial resources to love her and give her the medication monthly that will be her lifeline for a good long life. Princess  Charlie will need someone fully invested in her health — someone committed not just to loving her, but to advocating for her and keeping her on the treatment plan she needs to thrive.  This girl is SO worth it.   What we know about this special needs girl we call Princess Charlie, is that she is the sweetest, smartest little girl. She gets along beautifully with everyone and has such a gentle, loving spirit. Even after a rough start to her young life, she greets each day with hope and kindness. She truly deserves nothing but the very best from here on out. If you’ve ever wanted to make a true life-changing difference for a dog who needs someone to rescue her for her lifetime, our girl Princess Charlie is your girl. She doesn’t need a perfect person — she just needs a committed one.  Your reward is her undying love, her sweet smile every morning and her spirit of joy that is so contagious.  Please write to us and we can tell you more about how easy this is to treat.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com            PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 27, 2026, 9:01 pm

Story
Snowball is a handsome 3-year-old, 65-pound Pyredoodle (Great Pyrenees / Poodle mix) with a big personality and an equally big heart for the right home. This boy truly knows how to fit in with his people. Snowball can happily go with the flow—content to lounge on the sofa during a Netflix-and-chill evening, but just as excited to join in when it’s time to head outdoors. He rides wonderfully in the car, did great for his bath, and absolutely loves the snow and tennis balls. He already knows how to sit and politely offer his paw, walks beautifully on leash, and was calm and non-reactive when seeing other dogs on walks. He is also fully crate trained and enjoys settling in for the night—especially if that means sleeping in bed with his humans. Snowball’s former owner affectionately described him as “95% the perfect dog,” and it’s easy to see why. He’s affectionate, adaptable, and bonds closely with his people. Snowball will thrive best in a calm, adult-only home with an experienced and confident owner who understands canine behavior. He can show some resource guarding, particularly around food and occasionally during play, and benefits from clear boundaries and thoughtful management. In his previous home, Snowball struggled with the busy energy of young children, which ultimately led to his surrender. For everyone’s safety and success, he is not a good match for a home with young kids. We believe Snowball is a Pyredoodle, and his ideal adopter will understand typical Great Pyrenees traits—including independence, stubborn streaks, and food guarding tendencies—and be willing to manage these behaviors thoughtfully and consistently.  Snowball is looking for a calm, structured home where boundaries are respected, routines are consistent, and his wonderful qualities can truly shine. In the right environment, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. If you are interested in adopting Snowball, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** February 13, 2026, 1:29 pm
