Story
Beaux is one year old, which means he may technically be growing up, but he would like everyone to know he is still VERY much a puppy. This adorable Cavapoo is an absolute sweetheart who has never met a stranger. Beaux loves people, loves attention, and is more than happy to make a new best friend everywhere he goes. He’s friendly, social, affectionate, and has so much love to give. He’s also still working on his manners. Beaux will need a family willing to continue his training and help him learn how to channel all that puppy energy appropriately. He’s a smart, happy boy, but he’s still figuring out the rules of being a well-mannered grown-up dog. Beaux also has one particularly naughty habit that his future family will need to take seriously: he likes to swallow things he absolutely should NOT be eating. Socks and other random objects are apparently delicacies in Beaux’s world, so his home will need to be diligent about keeping tempting items safely out of reach. Because young children tend to come with plenty of small toys and objects left around, Beaux will not be placed in a home with young kids. Cats are also a no for this guy. Beaux thinks chasing them is entirely too much fun, and we’re pretty sure the cats would disagree. Beaux needs a cat-free home. What Beaux really needs is someone who understands that adopting a one-year-old dog still means adopting a puppy in many ways. He needs structure, consistency, continued training, plenty of appropriate outlets for his energy, and a family willing to help him become the very best version of himself. In return, you’ll get one ridiculously sweet little Cavapoo who doesn’t meet a stranger and is ready to love his forever family with everything he’s got. Beaux isn’t perfect yet, but that’s okay. He’s only one, he’s still learning, and he’s looking for the family willing to teach him. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to a number of locations within the continental United States. Please note: We are unable to adopt to residents of Massachusetts at this time. To apply, complete our official adoption application at yourlocalfurmama.com/adoption-application. Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications. Once your application is received, a member of our Adoptions Team will contact you within 2–3 business days.
