Mia is a sweet girl who can be a little shy at first, especially around men, but she warms up quickly and becomes a loving, loyal companion once she feels safe.Because of her size and energy, older kids would be best, and she does well with children who understand how to be respectful of a large dog. Mia is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and enjoys spending time with her people.As a Standard Poodle, Mia has lots of energy and will thrive in an active home that can provide daily exercise and mental stimulation. This girl was found with a wound in her forehead. It has been treated by a vet. She is a nice girl who has done well following commands. She does well on a leash and likes to be with people. She may be house trained, but we don’t think fully. Curly Sue has been nervous since she arrived at the shelter, so we haven't had her in with other dogs. However, when she is roaming the hall of the kennel, she likes to go up to sniff and say hello to dogs all of sizes and ages. January 20, 2026, 2:58 pm

Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $250.00   Benny   Benny's mama had cancer and passed. So he needs a new home. He's a loving white poodle boy in his senior years, maybe 8-9 and small at 10-12 pounds.    Benny has a skin condition we are working on. His hair was very thin from flea allergies but is now growing in well. He had 2 cysts that were drained, one on his tail and one behind his ear. The vet thought they might fill up and require draining again.    He is just a delightful little fellow! Loves to follow you around, loves to ride in the car and loves to walk on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. Pllus he's housetrained!    He's checking out his new world in Chattanooga, TN right now but is waiting for another person to call his own. Could that be you?   Fee: $250 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.  To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.  NOTE: SCMR does not adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences.
