Meet Maggie Our royal fluff queen Maggie Moo 🌸🐑👑 Maggie is a 1–2 year old Old English Sheepdog with a tiny touch of Poodle 🐩✨. She is about 65 lb, does not shed, and has a soft gray coat, a huge fluffy tail, and soulful eyes that steal hearts 💕👀 She came to us far too young from a mill but has blossomed in her foster home 🌱💗, gaining strength, confidence, and joy. Now she is ready to choose her forever family. Maggie’s must haves 💫 Fenced yard 🌳 A dog companion equal in size only. She is 65 lb and very bouncy with classic Sheepdog herding behavior 🐕💨 She is not aggressive but will “herd” and play roughly, so her buddy must be able to handle it No dogs under 15 lb No prey animals in the home at all (birds, rabbits, or anything small) 🚫🐇🐦 Kids 10 and up who are calm and respectful 👧 Dogs must sleep in the bedroom 🛏️ Chew toys are required for her and your current dog 🦴 Two bones available at all times for self soothing 🦴 Her tail must stay long 🐾 A home that welcomes dogs on the couch and the bed 🛋️ Not a match for ❌ Loud or chaotic homes ⚡ People who work long hours then leave again for evening activities ⏰ Homes with seniors 65 plus or anyone who may struggle with a strong bouncy dog 💪 Families wanting a backyard dog instead of a true companion 🚫 Her lifestyle 🌿 Walks, parks, hikes, and weekend fun 🌄🐾 Not suitable for intense sports like biking 🚵‍♀️💨 Trust matters ❤️‍🩹 Shy at first and she chooses her people Applicants must live within about 3 hours of Virginia Beach 📍🕒 Maggie Moo is silly, loving, affectionate, and full of personality. Story
Cashman is a handsome, quiet Standard Poodle that has gone through some life upheavals that he needs to put in his rearview mirror very soon. There has been no neglect, just anxiety from his humans that was passed along to him.  We are looking for a place in life that will not leave him for long hours in the house alone.  There are so many good situations that he would thrive in.  Kids would be perfect if they are in the home.  He is good with other dogs, cats, meeting new people is totally easy for him and he loves to load up easily in a car and go for rides.  He is housebroken, crate trained and so very loving and easy to live with.  He is 3 years old and weighs 56 pounds and could easily put on another 5-10 pounds of good muscle weight.  We have published a BEFORE picture of him when he came to Critter Cavalry Rescue.  We quickly  had him groomed and now he features a handsome Summer cut.  He was a dream at the groomer and she took the AFTER pictures of him in her beautiful garden.  This boy is not a train wreck l like so many rehomes.  He is a sweet dog that needs a stable family that provides him with no reasons to be anxious and alone for long periods of time.  Dogs are such a reflection of their environments and we are looking for a Norman Rockwell family if that still exists!   :-)  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is in excellent health and a most sensitive heart with so much love to give.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 22, 2026, 10:26 pm

Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love!
