Story
Linus is a sweet dog. He loves to to play fetch and understands basic commands such as sit, wait, lay down, and heel. He is very high energy and with the birth of a fifth child, we have come to admit that we’re simply unable to give him the excercise and attention he deserves. Without an outlet for his energy, he has been hyper inside and difficult to leave outside of his crate. He a year and half, and we’ve read that sheepadoodles tend to settle down around two years. We had hoped getting neutered would help, but again, he ultimately needs the excercise his breeding demands. We will sincerely miss him, but know he deserves more. Thank you for your consideration!

Story
Meet Erica, the adorable black-and-white beauty from our Stranger Things crew. This lovely standard poodle mix is estimated to be about 4 years old and came to us as a stray through Winnebago Animal Control alongside her sister, Tina. While they do not need to be adopted together, we know they’d be thrilled if they got to stay side by side. Erica is sweet, gentle, and affectionate, with a soft personality that makes her an easy dog to love. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and settles into family life with ease. She does well with other dogs, kids, and cats, making her a wonderful fit for many types of homes. As a poodle mix, Erica will need a family that understands and is committed to the regular grooming and coat maintenance that comes with a doodle-style coat. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who truly shines as a family dog. If you’re looking for a gentle, beautiful girl to complete your household — and maybe even considering a two-dog happily-ever-after — Erica is ready to meet you. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

Story
Meet Tina, the soft and gentle soul of our Stranger Things crew. This beautiful cream-colored standard poodle mix is estimated to be about 4 years old and came to us as a stray through Winnebago Animal Control alongside her sister, Erica. While they do not need to be adopted together, we know they’d be more than happy to stay together if the right home came along. Tina is a bit more timid than her sister and would benefit from some confidence building in a calm, patient home. Right now, she’s fairly low energy and prefers quiet moments and gentle affection, but with time, trust, and consistency, we believe she may blossom into a more playful and curious companion. She does well with other dogs, kids, and cats, making her a lovely fit for a variety of households. Like all poodle mixes, Tina will need a family that understands and is committed to the regular grooming and coat maintenance that comes with her doodle coat. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted dog who will reward patience with quiet loyalty and growing confidence, Tina is ready to begin her next chapter with you. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
