Meet Kelli! 🐾💗 Kelli is a sweet and gentle Standard Poodle who is ready for a fresh start and a family of her own. She was transferred to us from Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to help her find the loving home she deserves. Kelli is a calm, easygoing girl who enjoys spending time with her people. She walks wonderfully on a leash and would make a lovely companion for someone looking for a gentle dog to enjoy life with. She has a soft, sweet personality and would love a home where she can settle in, build a bond with her family, and be a cherished member of the household. Kelli is not reactive toward other dogs, but she does not do well living with other dogs in a home setting. Because of this, she will need to be the only dog in her home. As a Standard Poodle, Kelli will also have lifelong grooming needs, so her family should be prepared to keep up with regular professional grooming. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle and calm companion who will happily walk by your side, Kelli could be the girl for you! ❤️ All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. From the southern foster: Nova was found as a stray in Oklahoma. Estimated at 5-6 years old and 50-55 lbs. Dog, kid and cat friendly. House and crate trained. Arrived in WI 10-3-26 and has been doing great! She gets along great with the resident dogs. Has not met the cat yet. No accidents in the house the first day. She goes willingly in to her kennel and is quiet. Was a pro at bath time. Loves being outside. Keeps herself entertained with toys or playing with my dog in the home. She is a vocal player(which may bother some dogs) She does pull a little bit on the leash but is managed well with a harness. She has done well passing other dogs and people on walks as well as the squirrels. Did well tied out in the yard as well on a tie out with supervision. She loves affection and does seek it out. I can't say enough good things about this girl-well besides putting her feet up on the kitchen counter-she's been the absolute perfect house guest and would make a great addition to any family!
