I’m Daira, a sweet Border Collie and Labrador Retriever mix puppy with a heart as big as my paws. I’m new to Minnesota and still discovering all the exciting things about being an indoor pup. My distinct white-tipped front paws and question mark tail are my signature markings and make me different from my sister. For most of my young life, I lived outside on my own, so every cozy new experience now feels extra special and exciting to me. I’m a curious little explorer at heart — I love sniffing out new corners, chasing a bouncy toy, or investigating a new sound. I also have a soft, cuddly side and adore curling up on a warm bed or snuggling on the couch for quiet time with my people. Sometimes I’ll nuzzle in close just to make sure I’m part of whatever is happening, and I always appreciate gentle pets and love-filled attention. I get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, and I have a calm, friendly nature that makes it easy for me to bond with new friends. I’m still learning house training and crate training, but I’m making steady progress and respond well to patience, structure, and positive encouragement. I enjoy short walks, play sessions, and discovering new sights and smells, and I’m looking forward to learning even more as I grow. I dream of a family who will share life’s adventures with me — from playing in the yard, going on safe walks, learning new tricks, to quiet evenings curled up together. I’m loyal, loving, and full of potential, and I want a home where I can be a true part of the family, sharing love, laughter, and lots of cuddles along the way. When Natz first arrived he was very unsure of us and his surroundings. It took him a couple of days to realize that we could be trusted and then it was like a snuggle switch was flipped.  Natz  is shy at first, but give him a few minutes and he is trusting to have you pet him. He is learning puppy manners like “sit” very quickly. H e  loves going on walks and is learning to curb his enthusiasm while on a leash .  He does  great  in his crate but spends most of his time roaming free in the house or yard.  He loves pets and snuggles. Despite h is  more reserved approach, N atz’  loyalty is undeniable. Once he forms a bond with h is  family, he becomes incredibly affectionate. H is  cautiousness gives h im  a sweet, thoughtful quality—he’s a dog who values security and routine, and once he knows he’s in a safe, loving environment, h is  personality shines through in little bursts of happiness. H e has a lot of puppy energy but when he is done playing for the day he is ready for cozy snuggling.  From Natz: I don’t rush into things. I like to take my time, figuring out if something feels right. It’s not that I’m scared; I just like to be sure. My humans? They’re the best. I know their voices, their scents, and I trust them with everything. I love to be close to them and look around to make sure they are close to me. When I curl up next to them, everything feels safe. The world can be big, and I’m still figuring it all out, but as long as they’re near, I feel like I can handle whatever comes my way.    August 15, 2025, 8:38 pm
