Story
Meet Soul! What an amazing boy! Soul is a gorgeous 4.5 year old Sheltie. Soul is a very smart boy and has won several barn hunting competitions. He loves to be active and to be challenged. He is great with people and generally gets along well with other dogs too.  He knows and obeys many, many commands and hand signals, holds titles in two dog sports (Rally Obedience and Barn Hunt), is silent when crated - even in the hubbub of a dog show or trial. He rides perfectly in the car and loves to go places, behaves politely with people he meets, ignores other dogs that are close by, walks perfectly on leash, loves to do things and is fun to be with. Soul is an active boy and would love a home with a yard and someone who can dedicate time to him. He thrives on engagement and is not a couch potato. He is potty trained and well behaved in the home, but he can alert bark. Soul has lived with other dogs before and get can along but may prefer to be the only dog in the home. He does well in the company of other dogs overall but on his own turf he likes to things his way. Soul is a barker - which is very typical for his breed.  He is not suitable for a home with cats or young children. Soul is vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Cher! Cher is a 1-year-old, 30 lb Sheltie/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This beautiful girl is still finding her footing in the world, but underneath her shy exterior is a loyal, loving, and active companion! Cher is sweet, sensitive, and forms deep bonds with her people. She can be pretty shut down when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments, and she’s still learning that the world is a safe place. Because of this, she’s looking for a patient home that will give her the time, space, and support she needs to decompress and build confidence at her own pace preferably in a standalone home outside of the city ~ no apartments or condos. As Cher settles in and begins to come out of her shell, she shows to have a fun, active side and will make a great adventure buddy for someone willing to invest in her. She’ll benefit from continued work on leash skills, confidence-building, and positive socialization as she learns to navigate life outside of the shelter environment. At this time, we feel she would thrive as an only dog, allowing her adopters to focus on helping her decompress, build confidence, and form strong bonds with her people without the added pressure of navigating a multi-dog household. Like many herding dog mixes, Cher can be a little bossy at times and enjoys herding her dog friends. A dog-savvy home that understands her breed tendencies will help set her up for success. Preferably no young children as she will need a calm, predictable, and structured home environment to gain confidence in. This sweet girl is looking for someone who sees her potential and is willing to help her blossom into the confident dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend and have a soft spot for sensitive working breeds, Cher may be the perfect addition to your family! Cher is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
