Story
Pending adoption We have a transport leaving on 2/28/26 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Gemma to our trip for the right family 😊 Gemma is a truly special girl, and the kind of dog who quietly changes your life once she chooses you as her person. She is a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle with a very fine, wavy to slightly curly coat that is hypoallergenic, so you won’t have to worry about shedding. Gemma is small framed and naturally petite, estimating around 35–40 lbs, and she is fully grown. Her weight will be updated following her upcoming spay. Gemma is set to be spayed on 2/3/26, and her adoption listing will be updated once that is complete to include all finalized veterinary care. Temperament-wise, Gemma is nothing short of exceptional. She is sweet, kind, loving, attentive, and incredibly intelligent — observant in a way that is hard to put into words. She prefers to be near her person, always aware of where you are, quietly devoted, and eager to become someone’s lifelong companion. She is cautious by nature when meeting new people, so we are looking for a confident and patient adopter who understands that Gemma opens her heart thoughtfully. But once she does, she never closes it again. When Gemma loves you, that bond runs deep and lasts a lifetime. Gemma is wonderful with other dogs, both big and small, and she adores children. She loves our family as a whole — men, women, and children alike — and once she loves you, that’s it. She is not a barker, but she will alert you to unfamiliar noises. She has excellent house manners, travels beautifully on road trips of any length, and is absolutely phenomenal at the groomer. Energy-wise, Gemma is beautifully balanced. She is not high energy, but she has no trouble keeping up with you and whatever adventures the day may bring. At the same time, she is perfectly content to relax, cuddle, and simply be close to you. Gemma came to us because her previous owner loved her deeply but did not have the space she deserved. Rather than confining her to a small area, she made the selfless decision to give Gemma the chance at a fuller, happier life — one with room to thrive. Gemma is an incredible dog in every sense. She is gentle, loyal, and deeply devoted, and she will make someone unbelievably happy to spend their life with. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/gemma-1 This includes her spay, vaccines, microchip and registration, and exam with our vet, along with the care, grooming costs, and training she has received while in our care. If anything additional is needed, such as a dental cleaning, the adoption fee may be adjusted to help offset those costs.

Story
Hi, I`m Farley! I`m about 11 months old and weigh 33 pounds.** Here is what a volunteer says about me:`Farley is a gentle cuddle-bug who warmed up to me immediately and just wanted to be held. Precious dog.` **Do you like...Dogs? I`ve done poorly meeting new dogs at the shelter. Staff are not sure I`d like to live with another dog. We can discuss this with you further!Cats? Unknown. With slow intros and supervision I may be able to live with kitties. Kids? I can be shy with new folks and would like to start out meeting kiddos old enough to give me space. (10+)Anything else you`d like us to know, Farley? I am a bit undersocialized and need help learning the worlds not a scary place. Once I warm up I`m a fun loving guy with lots of energy to play! I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
