Story
Morris is an 8 year old black labradoodle with a wire coat (he does shed) Opal is a 7 year old apricot poodle. At this time we are only looking to rehoming them together. Both are loving and playful. Morris loves fetch and they both like to go on walks, but also do well without and just having time to play in the yard. Both love attention, and will try to convince any visitors that they don’t get enough. Opal loves to cuddle, and will curl into a small ball next to someone on the couch. They are crate trained and stay well in them when home alone. We have continued to crate them while we are gone due to Opal finding things to eat or chew if we don’t. They love to chew on bones, but Opal can be a destructive chewer, so she should not be left unsupervised with things like balls and soft toys. They do great with kids and cats, but take a bit to warm up to other dogs. Adoption fee can be negotiated for the right home. They will come with supplies.

Story
Pending adoption We have a transport leaving on 2/21/26 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Freddie to our trip for the right family 😊 Meet Freddie, a gentle, soulful poodle mix (we were told he was a cockapoo, cocker spaniel/poodle mix, He has the hypoallergenic coat of a Poodle so you won't have to worry about shedding!) He is just about two years old now and weighs right around 16 pounds, and yes he is fully grown. Freddie is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines, and he’s been thoroughly vetted and cleared to find a home of his very own. Freddie came to us from a background that didn’t give him much opportunity to just be a dog. Because of that, he’s not the loud, demanding, center-of-attention type, instead, he’s quiet, observant, and incredibly thoughtful. In the home, he’s house trained and does great with regular potty breaks every few hours. He’s content to relax nearby, often keeping to himself, but when you invite him in for affection, he absolutely melts into it. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t push for love, but deeply cherishes it once it’s offered. Over the past several months, Freddie has made steady, meaningful progress with confidence. Leash walking is still something he’s building comfort with, but he’s come a long way and continues to improve with gentle guidance and consistency. New experiences can still feel big to him, but each day he shows more curiosity and courage. He enjoys spending peaceful time in the yard and is perfectly happy entertaining himself or lounging in a quiet space. Freddie isn’t trying to escape, he’s simply learned to take things at his own pace, and when he feels safe, his true personality shines. At night, Freddie sleeps calmly in his crate and settles in without issue. He also does well when left alone and doesn’t struggle with anxiety or restlessness. While he’s perfectly comfortable continuing with a crate routine, we can easily see him thriving with a cozy bed nearby or even beside his person once trust is fully established. He’s a dog who bonds deeply, just not instantly, and the connection he forms is sincere and lasting. Freddie would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that confidence isn’t rushed and love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. He’s not broken, shy, or difficult, he’s simply a dog who learned the world later than most and is still discovering how good life can be. In the right home, with a gentle heart and steady reassurance, he will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion we already know he is. Freddie’s adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/freddie-1 This reflects the veterinary care, daily care, training support, and time invested in helping him heal, grow, and prepare for a successful future. If you feel your home may be the safe, loving place Freddie has been waiting for, we’d love to hear more about you, your lifestyle, and your experience with the breed. Sometimes the quiet ones are the ones who love the deepest. Freddie is just waiting for someone to see him 🩵

Story
Hello, I`m Mac! I`m about 3 years old and weigh 67 pounds. I have a medical release that staff will discuss with you further.Do you like...Dogs? I originally entered the shelter with a canine pal. Please bring all dogs in the home to meet to see how we hit it off!Cats? My history is a mystery. Slow, supervised introductions would help set us up for success.Kids? I`d like to start out meeting kiddos 6+ so I don`t accidentally knock anyone over with my zest for life.Anything else you`d like us to know, Mac? I`m a very sweet, energetic boy! I`d love to go for daily walkies, trips to the beach, and then finish it up with movie night! I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I`m looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. Story
Meet Naila! Naila is a young Lab/Boxer mix with a smile big enough to light up the whole room. Her start in life wasn’t easy — she was found abandoned in a hot car alongside a small dog friend and then spent six long months in a shelter with no adoption interest. But despite everything, Naila’s spirit never dimmed. During her shelter stay, Naila battled severe chronic ear infections that eventually required a TECA (total ear canal ablation) surgery in her right ear, leaving her deaf on that side. But don’t worry — this brave girl doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She’s adapted beautifully and gets around with confidence, joy, and her signature goofy wiggle. Naila is pure sunshine. She loves people, leans in for affection, and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. She’s a silly, happy soul who enjoys playtime, belly rubs, and simply being near her humans. Naila does wonderfully with male dogs her size or smaller and would love a canine buddy who matches her friendly energy but would also be just fine as the only pet. Because Naila is a playful gal we think older children would best suit her.  Naila is looking for a loving home that will cherish her, celebrate her resilience, and give her the happy, safe life she has always deserved. She is working hard on her crate training, leash skills and basic obedience while she stays with us to help her be successful in a forever home.  Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Naila would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Prefers male dogs Kiddos : 10+   ##2588006##
