Story
I have had winnie since she wad 7 months old. Shes now going to be 7 years on February 23, 2026. She was a covid puppy and had a bad first few months before we found each other. Winnie is a very affectionate girl who loves attention. Smart and adventurous but a little nervous. House trained kennel trained (tho she hasn't needed one for years) and walks well on a leash. Even having past experience with off leash life. Unfortunately I have a serious medical disorder and almost passed in the summer of 2024. Issues are flaring once again and want to make sure she has a home just in case of the worst. Her new owners will receive her beds (2) , toys with the basket, clothing and grooming tools, leashes and collars (4) food and bowls

Story
🐾 Urgently Looking for a Loving Home! Meet Chad! Chad was brought in from a property with 10 other dogs. When he and the others arrived at the shelter, they were completely shut down and fearful. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to get them to start trusting humans. While his life didn't have the best start, we are committed to making sure that Chad finds the loving home he deserves. Chad has made incredible strides here at the shelter, and we believe he is ready for a Foster or Forever Home! 🏡 What Chad Needs in a Home: Chad will thrive with an owner who can provide structure, confidence, and continued patience. Confident Owner Required: Chad needs a confident, experienced owner who can provide clear direction and stability. His new family must be willing to continue his training and socialization. He is an intelligent boy and is almost potty trained! Home Presence: Chad is looking for a home where someone can be present for the majority of the day, as he does not do well and can be stressed when crated for long periods. Child Restriction: Due to his fearful nature and specific behavioral needs, a home is required with no children younger than 15 years old. This is to ensure a calm and predictable environment for Chad. Canine Companion Criteria: Chad can live with another dog, but his companion must be a larger, confident dog who is between the ages of 3 and 5 and loves to play. This stable dog will serve as a good role model for Chad's continued progress. If you are ready to open your home and heart to a dog ready to bloom, please come meet Chad! Interested in learning more about Chad? Come meet me at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11am–5pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam. Please bring a leash and collar with you or plan to purchase here. We can’t wait to help you meet your new furry friend!
