I’m Axel a playful, friendly, curious, happy, 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier. I am quite handsome with beautiful cream and tan markings and soft eyes. I am fun to play with and do not react to other dogs with barking. I am a fetch champion and will run with one ball in my mouth to eagerly get to a second ball. A home with access to an enclosed yard would be great. I was recently adopted and returned to the shelter as I don`t get along with cats, who knew? I need to be the only dog in your home without small pets. I am an entertaining dog that likes to do fun things. I get a goofy smile on my face when I am happy and that is most of the time. I am becoming a calm dog and as a young dog, I am looking forward to finding someone special to bond with me.I respond to `down and sit` commands and enjoy yummy treats. I am looking for a person to be my friend, coach, trainer and pack leader to provide routine structure for me, calmness, loving touch, and planned outlets. I am a puppy who easily attaches to people, absolutely melts for cuddles, rubs, and all the affection you can share.I am microchipped, up to date on vaccines, neutered and I am good on a leash, house trained, and a true love bug.If I sound like a fantastic addition to your active lifestyle, please come a spend some time with me. Dear potential family, if you enjoy the smarts, curiosity, beauty, and loyalty of a trim and pretty German Shepherd, please look no further than me. I’m Sampson a 6-year-old German Shepherd that has been bunking and playing with the shelter volunteers since last June after I was found as a stray at Sunset Park. I’m an energetic guy with the look and enthusiasm of a puppy. I love to run and play fetch, it’s my absolute favorite thing, but when I am tired out, I am a loving cuddle bug.I’ve was treated to a few days on a superb sleepover at a volunteer’s house where we visited a garden shop, Home Depot, Posse park, and the Paws Thrift Store. Not wanting to blow my chance of being in a home again I respond quickly when my name is called and I mind my manners. I am a housebroken mature dog and although I was curious in Home Depot I did excellently around all the people and noises. I am a very different dog outside the shelter relaxing in a home since I remember how awesome that was not too long ago. I am very attentive to what is around me when I am outside and I listen to my human’s commands. And when I am relaxing and feeling safe inside a home, I am calm, quiet, happy and a true gentleman who likes to watch the birds out windows. I need a good trainer and guidance to improve my leash skills as I can be a strong puller. This is already changing with the support of volunteers, coaching and yummy treats. I need frequent walks and/or fetch time for exercise. I’d like all of your attention to myself and will thrive as the only dog in your home, no cats please.On my sleepovers I show lots of affection, give soft kisses and think that belly rubs are out of this world. I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.I’m an entertaining, cheerful, and interesting Shepherd and I hope you want to get together! Come and plan to visit me a few times and bring a ball for fetch.
