Rudy is a joyful, playful, and deeply affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with his people and loves being close to them. He was adopted as a puppy from ARF in Walnut Creek and is now 5 years old. Rudy truly shines when he’s out on walks, exploring the world, or joyfully chasing a ball during a game of fetch in wide open fields. After playtime, he’s more than happy to settle in and cuddle up next to his favorite person. Rudy does have some dog reactivity while on leash, but this is manageable with consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement. He would thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can receive plenty of attention, patience, and love. In the right environment, Rudy will be a loyal, loving, and devoted companion who brings warmth and happiness to everyday life

Meet Butterball! 🐶💛 Butterball is a 3-year-old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix with a heart as big as his name suggests! 🐾✨ This sweet, people loving boy truly thrives on human companionship and would much rather be by your side than focused on other pets 🤍👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Butterball does well with other dogs 🐕👍 and has a wonderfully easygoing nature 🌿. He allows full-body handling 🤗 and enjoys affection, making him a joy to spend time with 💕. He has a low drive 😌 and, when introduced to the cat room, showed little interest 🐱➡️😴 suggesting he may do well in a home with feline friends, with proper slow introductions. While Butterball is social, his greatest bond will always be with his people 🥰. He prefers calm interactions and would be happiest in a home where he can soak up love and attention 🛋️❤️. Due to some resource guarding and barrier sensitivities observed 🚧, we do not recommend Butterball for a home with small children 👶❌. However, older, respectful children who understand dog boundaries may be a great match 👦👧✔️. Butterball is looking for a loving home where he can relax, feel secure, and be someone’s loyal best friend 🏡💖. Meet Vinny! Intake date 08/28/25 Vinny is a 1.5-year-old male German Shepherd mix bursting with enthusiasm for life. If you’re looking for a jogging buddy, a hiking partner, or a dog who’s always up for an adventure, Vinny is your guy! This energetic young pup is smart, eager to please, and highly food- and toy-motivated — the perfect combo to make training fun and rewarding. He’ll benefit from continued basic obedience and leash work, but he’s the type of dog who will catch on quickly with consistency. 👶Vinny has done wonderfully with a respectful 6-year-old child in his previous interactions. 🚫😺Because of his high drive, he would do best in a home without cats. 🚫🐶 Did not appear to do well with male nor female dogs. Once out of the shelter environment and allowed to decompress, he may be more open to a doggy companion 🚗He rides great in the car and is always excited to go wherever you’re headed. 💪Dominik🐾 This handsome 1 year-old Pit Bull is the total package — playful, loyal, and full of love to give! Dominik’s favorite things in the world are cuddling up with his humans and playing with his toys. While he prefers people-time over dog-time, his goofy personality and big heart make him a joy to be around. Dominik loves his walks, so much that he likes to carry his own leash! It’s adorable, but if you’d rather he didn’t, he’s a smart boy who would thrive with a bit of basic obedience training. Due to his energy level and leash biting, I would not recommend him in a home with small children. He also travels well in the car and enjoys tagging along for any adventure. When it comes to cats, Dominik seems a little too curious, so we’d recommend slow introductions if he’ll be sharing his home with feline friends. Dominik is ready to find a family who will give him all the love, playtime, and belly rubs he deserves. Could that be you? ❤️🐶
