Story
Walker has been our foste since pulling from SASA red list. Coming in as a total stray we knew nothing about his story and what he may already know, but we knew he was a fun loving boy who deserves a forever home. From day one he has been commuting with me daily, kenneled surprising well, and always had a wagging tail. But he wasn’t sunshine and rainbows. He had no understanding of being on leash or handler experience, needed a full decompression period, and no self regulating “off-switch” to let himself rest. But now! He can loose leash walk while following basic sit/stay/heel commands, has a treat drive that keeps him fun and engaged in training sessions, will sit and wait for his food until released, minds personal boundaries much more, and continues to build trust and knowledge daily with a structured day and training. An active household that can provide structure and regular stimulating activity is where he will continue to thrive and be a happy guy! 61 lb GSD / Husky / Pit mix
