Story
Meet Carol, the lovable and easygoing canine companion you've been searching for! At 5 years old, Carol is in her prime, and she's looking for a forever home where she can enjoy the finer things in life, like lounging by the pool and savoring delicious treats.A Relaxation Expert: Carol is the epitome of a laid-back dog. She prefers leisurely strolls to intense hikes, and her idea of a perfect day involves lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun's warmth, and dipping her paws into the cool water. If you have a pool or are considering getting one, Carol is your perfect poolside partner.Treat Aficionado: Carol has a bit of a sweet tooth—or should we say, a sweet paw? She adores treats and can be easily won over with a tasty snack. This makes her an ideal candidate for a training partner; she's eager to learn and motivated by her love for treats.Solo Star: Carol thrives as the center of attention. She would do best as the only pet in the household, where she can have all your love and affection to herself. This lovely lady deserves to shine brightly in her forever home, and she's more than ready for her chance to do just that.A Long Wait: Carol has been patiently waiting for her forever family for three long years at the shelter. It's time for her to experience the love, care, and security that only a forever home can provide. She has so much love to give and is ready to share it with the right person or family.Give Carol a Chance: Carol's heart is full of love, and all she needs now is someone who can give her a chance. If you're ready to open your heart to a sweet, low-energy, and snuggly companion, Carol is waiting to meet you. Don't let her wait any longer—come meet Carol today and give her the loving forever home she so richly deserves. Together, you can make the next chapter of her life the best one yet.My adoption fee is normally $200.This includes a spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, a microchip, a heartworm test, and, if needed, heartworm treatment.________________________________________________________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application. Story
My name is Woodlander. I am about 3 years old and weigh about 60 lbs. I was hanging around a playground, but I was so scared I would not eat or go near anyone. A lady on a bike followed me and well I just gave up and let her catch me. My foster dad says I am a very good boy. I need someone who will love me and give me all the attention and care I deserve. I am a great snuggler. I would love to play! I walk well on a leash too and would love to start our adventures together as soon as possible, so please fill out an application! No kitties please! Story
My name is Mary Lou, but I think Miracle might be a better name for me. You see I was in terrible shape, starving and emaciated when I tried to cross the I10 at the Louisiana/Mississippi border when I tried to cross and was hit by a car. Angels came to my rescue who got me in a truck and started on a mission to save me. ARNO hospitalized me and now I am in a foster home. My foster mom has been taking care of me as I feel better and better. This is what she had to say:Mary Lou is such a loving and affectionate dog, definitely wants your attention and will give the kisses. If you stop petting her, she will lean into you for more pets. She is very smart and knows several commands. She can sit for a treat even though I don’t make her because she is still unsteady due to her surgery. She patiently waits at the opened back door until I give her permission to come in (must have learned from her previous owner), she knows the command for kennel, and does not beg when humans are eating. She appears to be potty trained now that I have been letting her lay in my office when I’m working from home in the day. She is a sweet dog and looking for a home that will give all the loving she deserves. Please consider giving this sweet girl the chance she needs at the good life.
