Story
Hello! I'm looking to find my wonderful dog a loving and safe home. I'm currently going through a difficult divorce (DV and financial abuse). My ex trashed our house and abandoned our dogs, then left the state this week while I was out of state for work on a contract. I'm unable to quite either one of my jobs due to having to pay for his health insurance until the divorce is finalized, and him wracking up debt in my name. I have until tomorrow afternoon to find a new home for Brisket. He's a two year old pit and shepered mix. 100% good boy. Loves people and other dogs. Loves hiking and swimming. He's completely potty trained, non-destructive. Doesn't counter surf. Knows a bunch of commands and he's crate trained. I crate trained so he would be okay with doggy daycare boarding and at the vet. He love's to cuddle, is super affectionate. He's used to free roaming in the backyard, occupying himself with his toys or chews or just laying outside on his elevated bed.

These pups are in Saint Johns, Michigan too!

Max is just under one year old. Loves to snuggle and is very mild tempered. Form a quick attachment to the family when we decided to help watch him when somebody was moving and they never came back for him. Knows all normal commands and does very well in crate. Only wanting to rehome him because we already have a dog and we are avid campers and taking 2 dogs on vacations doesn’t really work. If you are looking for a good movie watching companion or a nice sunny day walk. He’s the dog for you.

Story
Ginger is looking for a new and better life  This sweet girl was found by a local shelter wandering the streets alone. Unfortunately she was shutting down in the shelter and not doing well. We brought her into rescue and gave her a chance in a foster home. Her history is unknown, but based on her behavior we believe she was abused by a man. While she looks very much like a German Shepard she is def a mix as she has a smaller petite stature and is only 60lbs.  Ginger is very smart girl who appreciates lots of attention. She knows commands and listens well to "come", "sit", "down" and no. She absolutely loves tennis balls and bones to chew on. Once you've earned her love and trust she will let you get her ball and throw it for her in the yard. Overall she prefers to be indoors as shes afraid to be outside alone. She requires her human to be in sight for her to feel safe enough to go potty currently.  She does behave fearful around men ad requires slow introduction with men sitting down. Even with men in her current foster home she does not immediately recognize them when they enter the room and does bark. While she could warm up to a man in the home its clear she trusts women solely and needs a woman as a primary caregiver.  She gaurds her resources such as her human, food and toys from other dogs. Its clear she didnt have much in life and is not willinging to savrifice what she has to another dog. For this reason we ask that Ginger be the only pet. She does have a prey drive and will chase small animals that run through the yard.   Ginger loves her current foster mom with her whole heart and we know she will make the best companion to the right home. She will offer cuddles in bed all night, and comfort you as much as you do her. She is the sweetest soul thats survived some serious trauma. Could you be her second chance?  ##2757513##
