Howdy hoy! I'm Buddy Boy and I am so glad to meet you! I've been at the local city pound for quite some time but didn't get any looks. I'm pretty skinny too so I got brought to the shelter in hopes that I can find my forever home and gain some weight. I'm a sweet natured boy and looking for the right home. I use the a doggy door great so potty-training is already down pat. I walk decent on a leash too. I'm a little picky about other dogs and cats seem a little too interesting to me lol. Cna you give a special boy like me a chance? If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2694522##

Meet Coach , She is a  very sweet and energetic girl with a funny personality and all she wants is to lay in your lap and give you kisses. We do recommend that she goes to someone that has expericance with the American Bullys because she needs some training with basic commands and how to walk on a leash. She would do better in a home with no other dogs or with slow introductions because she can be rather choosy when it comes to her dog friends. She is ready for her furever home!      ##2711630##

Hi, I'm Romper! I'm a 2 year old German Shepherd mix with tons of life! I showed up at my foster's house a few months ago and I was really skinny, actually emaciated. I was missing patches of hair and covered in fleas and ticks. Thankfully, my foster got me all cleane dup and is now helping me find my forever home. I'm an energetic girl and I love toys (especially chew toys and tug-o-war). Even though I'm 50 lbs- I'm still a lap dog lol. I'm super smart and pick up on things quickly.
